Pokemon GO has revealed the new Aquatic Paradise event, which will add shiny Ducklett to the game. Ducklett is a Pokemon introduced in Gen 5, and evolves into Swanna from level 35. Niantic added Ducklett's regular version during Pokemon GO's fourth-anniversary celebrations, with its Swanna evolution also available in the game through evolution.
The Pokemon GO Pokedex keeps gradually expanding with the announcement of events, providing exciting opportunities for trainers to increase their collections with new critters. When it comes to shiny Pokemon, more than 50 critters have joined Pokemon GO since the launch of Niantic's game. This year alone, Pokemon GO's Pokedex got more than 10 shiny Pokemon, such as Rowlet, Tsareena, and Emolga. This time, Pokemon GO has announced a new event, and another shiny Pokemon will debut in Niantic's augmented reality game.
Pokemon GO has announced the Aquatic Paradise event, which for the first time will make shiny Ducklett available in the game. The event starts on July 6 at 10 am and ends on July 9 at 8 pm local time, and will focus on Water-type Pokemon that will be featured at Pokemon GO Fest 2024: New York City. Pokemon GO players will see Horsea, Staryu, Wingull, Corphish, Clamperl, Ducklett, and Frillish more often in the wild, while Incense encounters will feature Shellder, Lapras, Finneon, and Frillish. An event-themed Collection Challenge will be available, and upon completing it, Pokemon GO will reward players with Pokemon encounters and more.

With the Aquatic Paradise event, Pokemon GO players will earn double XP for catching Pokemon. By completing certain Field Research tasks, there will be a chance for trainers to encounter Corphish, Clamperl, Finneon, and Frillish. A new Limited Paid Research will be available for $ 1.99 USD, with tasks focused on exploration and catching Pokemon. Players with tickets for the Pokemon GO Fest 2024: New York City will have a new offer available on the Pokemon GO Web Store using the code GOFEST2024.
That isn't the only shiny Pokemon debut related to the Pokemon GO Fest 2024. Pokemon GO previously added shiny Crabrawler to another GO Fest-themed event focused on the monsters featured from the Madrid part of the festival. With the New York City event taking place on July 5-7 and Pokemon GO Fest Global on July 13-14, trainers wait to find out if Niantic will announce more events related to the upcoming GO Fest stages.
