The Shadowy Research tasks are part of the Solstice Horizons event, promising enthusiasts an encounter with several powerful Shadow Pokemon. These tasks appear until the next Giovanni quest in the Team GO Takeover event.

“A Shadowy Disturbance” follows the long lineup of Giovanni Research Quest following the Pokemon GO quest “A Troubling Situation” in 2019. Players who have completed the “From the Shadows” task in March 2023 can experience the Shadowy Disturbance. Although one can claim this Special Research till September 1, 2023, 10 AM local time, they can complete it at their own pace. Completing these steps isn't hard; players only need to consider the Team GO Rocket Leaders and Main Boss.
