Several Pokemon GO players are currently losing their progress in the Special Research event “A Mystic Hero,” which leaves them unable to finish the time-limited quest. While the bug seems to be widespread, Niantic is yet to give a solution to this current Pokemon GO glitch.
Pokemon GO became a worldwide success when it was launched back in 2016, and it had many ups and downs in the last few years. Now, it’s certainly living through one of its most controversial phases. Recently, the game’s community got into an uproar as the game's developer decided to change the rules of remote raiding, which led players to organize boycotts and even start a petition against Niantic. Now, the community is facing some tumult once more as one of the latest quests seems to be bugged for many players.
Many Pokemon GO gamers are currently unable to finish the “A Mystic Hero” quest, as their progress resets during the third step of the event. This quest is a special timed research event, in which the players need to complete several research tasks, including catching and evolving Pokemon and moving through different steps. However, it seems that the third one is currently bugged for players, and it resets their work. As the event is time-limited, players who lose their streak are permanently unable to finish the quest.
It’s possible to find countless Pokemon GO players who faced the same problem on social media. People from all over the world are facing the issue, as gamers from the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, for instance, have all claimed to suffer from the same glitch. They also complain that the Niantic customer service servers are currently full and that it’s taking a while to get answers, which adds to comments that Niantic is currently disconnected from the needs of the Pokemon GO community. Regardless, players who were affected by the issue should visit Niantic’s support page, which can be accessed by entering the app, clicking on the Poke Ball menu, then Settings, Help, and finally on the Chat icon.
Pokemon GO players who are currently unsatisfied with the title may be interested in another similar game coming up soon, though. Niantic is currently developing a Monster Hunter game that will work in a fairly similar way to Pokemon GO. The new Augmented Reality game is set to launch in September 2023, offering a brand new immersive experience for Monster Hunter fans.
Pokemon GO is available on Android and iOS.
