Summary

  • A fan created a Ghost-type Eevee evolution, Halluceon, sparking excitement among Pokemon fans.
  • Fans create unique Pokemon fan art daily, with Eeveelutions being a popular choice.

A talented Pokemon fan online has created their own brand-new Ghost-type evolution for Eevee. Pokemon fans love to design their own Eeveelutions, and this one would certainly be a hit if it were ever to be added to the game.

Nearly three decades since its debut, the Pokemon franchise remains as popular as ever. The game's dedicated community online continues to create awesome fan art on a daily basis, mostly based on the designs of the adorable pocket monsters. Some fans create their own Pokemon, while others put their own spins on classic designs. There are so many fan art pieces, that it can be challenging to stand out from the crowd. One Pokemon fan even combined Tandemaus with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, showing how some of these designs often include other popular franchises, too.

Redditor JujuLovesSqueech shared their piece of Pokemon fan art, which imagines what a potential Ghost-type Eeveelution could look like. They've even given the evolution a name: Halluceon. The artwork definitely looks like it could have come from an older Pokemon game, before the 3D era. Gamers in the thread had nothing but praise for the design, and even had some unique theories about what could possibly make an Eevee evolve into a Ghost-type Pokemon. One dark theory even suggested that the Eevee would evolve into Halluceon upon death.

Pokemon Ghost-type Eeveelution Named Halluceon

As of right now, there are eight different Eeveelutions, the most recent of which is Sylveon, which was introduced in Generation 6. This makes it over a decade since the last new Eeveelution, which is why there are so many pieces of fan art depicting the missing Pokemon types. Fans are curious about when the next one will be added, with the likes of Bug, Ghost, and Flying still missing, among others. A while back, another Pokemon fan designed Eeveelutions for every missing type. Until every type is represented in the games, these kinds of fan-made Eeveelutions will continue.

Pokemon fans could be in for an exciting couple of years ahead. Next year will see the long-awaited launch of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, while 2026 is set to mark the franchise's 30th anniversary. While nothing is announced at this point, there are plenty of Pokemon Generation 10 rumors that suggest it will arrive in 2026. At that point, it will have been four years since Generation 9, so it makes sense, and there's no doubt that Game Freak and The Pokemon Company will want to mark such a massive occasion for the franchise. Plans can always change, though, especially when not officially announced, so this should be taken with a pinch of salt at the moment.
