Summary

  • A Pokemon fan crafted a cosplay of Galar Gym Leader Milo and was praised for bringing the "fighting farmer" to life.
  • The Milo cosplayer, Ge_Santos, shared their Halloween cosplay session with impressive effects and attention to detail.

A Pokemon Sword and Shield player crafted a cosplay of Milo, the first Gym Leader of the Galar region, and shared photos from a recent session of the Grass-type specialist in action. Some fans complimented the Milo cosplayer for their handiwork in bringing the "fighting farmer" of Pokemon Sword and Shield to life.

As the first Gym Leader trainers face in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Milo is the Galar Pokemon League's Grass-type specialist. Known for being a strong farmhand with a gentle disposition and an easy-going approach to Pokemon battles, Milo is the head of the Turffield Gym. Alongside his muscular frame, Milo's distinct traits include his strawberry hair, green Gym uniform, and large straw hat. Milo will use Gossifleur and Eldegoss during his Gym battle against novice trainers. Pokemon Sword and Shield players who pick Scorbunny, or catch a Rookidee on the way to Turffield, should have no problems beating Milo and winning the Grass Badge.

Although Milo is far from the strongest Gym Leader in the Pokemon franchise, one trainer paid tribute with a fitting cosplay. On the r/pokemon subreddit, Reddit user Ge_Santos shared a photo set of their cosplay of Milo, which they made for Halloween. Although Ge_Santos said they did not have a wig to wear for Milo's strawberry hair, the rest of the cosplay was replicated directly from Pokemon Sword and Shield. Ge_Santos wore Milo's Turffield Gym uniform, inspired by real-world soccer kits, consisting of a white top and light green shorts with the jersey number 831 on the left leg. Along with the Turffield Gym uniform, Milo's scarf, brown boots, and straw hat were added to the mix to complete the cosplay.

Pokemon Fan Showcases Milo Cosplay For Halloween

Ge_Santos assumed different poses on a green screen and added various effects such as a Dynamaxed Poke Ball, and Pokemon like Wooloo, Tsareena, and Eldegoss to each shot. At the end of the montage, Ge_Santos strikes a pose similar to Milo's League Card in Pokemon Sword and Shield. The card shows Milo's autograph and a picture with his left arm outstretched towards the Turffield Stadium crowd. Pokemon fans praised Ge_Santos for their work in bringing Milo to life and complimented his muscles, with some further asking about the cosplayer's workout routines.

Despite the time it takes to create a well-made Pokemon cosplay, trainers like Ge_Santos continue to share their love for the franchise through their craft. What Pokemon fans will do ahead of the next game generation remains to be seen.
