While it isn't rare to see some fantastic creative projects from talented Pokemon fans, one expert gaming enthusiast who specializes in building custom gaming computers takes Pokemon-based fan projects to another level by designing and constructing a Charizard-themed gaming rig. Though many fans have shared similar Pokemon-themed setups in the past, this particular example makes for an impressive passion project honoring the popular (or perhaps overly-popular) Fire-type Pokemon.
Similarly to how Pikachu has been the primary mascot for the Pokemon series as a whole for over 25 years, the dragon-like Charizard has been a hugely iconic and fan-favorite Pokemon since as far back as Pokemon Red and Blue, the first ever Pokemon games. Known as the final evolved form of Charmander, one of the first three starter Pokemon that players would have had to choose from before embarking on their journey around the Kanto region, Charizard has remained surprisingly popular throughout the franchise even to the present day. Game Freak has infamously never shied away from showering the Fire and Flying-type Pokemon with attention, with Charizard seeing two different Mega forms as well as a Gigantamax form over the years. On top of that, even fans newer to the series will easily recognize Charizard as the signature Pokemon of Leon, the famed Champion of the Galar region.
The creator of this impressive PC design goes by the name of OdderTech on Reddit, a gaming enthusiast who builds custom gaming PCs on commission for clients. A post that they made on Reddit showed off their latest project to the Pokemon community on the site, including four attached images which feature the completed build in all of its glory. The Charizard-themed rig is complete with plenty of bright red fans to really bring out the Pokemon's Fire-type theme, along with lots of decorative items such as toys, stickers, and even a small screen depicting Charizard and its prior forms. This is far from the maker's first custom PC, and interested fans are encouraged to check out the many other gaming-related builds that they've done.
While Charizard is undoubtedly a favorite among many Trainers around the world, some players have pointed out that Charizard's popularity over the past few years has made the Pokemon somewhat tiresome, with the Pokemon's constant references and new forms growing into something of a meme among the Pokemon community.
Whether fans of Charizard in particular or not, though, Pokemon players surely appreciate the work put into these sorts of custom builds as well as other Pokemon-related fan creations. Many in the community are known to be a particularly creative bunch, with endless fan-made creations in the form of paintings, pixel arts, handmade plushies, and even Pokemon-themed PCs giving everyone in the gaming community something to appreciate.
