The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan artist shared some pictures of Past and Future Larvesta, and other trainers complimented them for their ongoing efforts.

Known as the Torch Pokemon, Larvesta first appeared in Pokemon Black and White. Larvesta evolves into the powerful Volcarona at level 59, meaning trainers must exercise patience when trying to utilize this Pokemon on their teams. Larvesta is a Bug and Fire dual-type critter known for its white fur, sharp blue eyes, and five fiery antennae across its head. When it evolves, Volcarona's special attack and speed stats are amplified. Although Larvesta and Volcarona can be found in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet normally, the latter received two version-exclusive Paradox variants called Slither Wing and Iron Moth.

Seeing how both Slither Wing and Iron Moth are depicted in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, a fan artist shared what Larvesta could look like as a pre-evolution to both Paradox forms of Volcarona. On the r/Pokemon subreddit, known Paradox fan concept artist HertzBurst posted two Paradox Larvesta concepts based on Slither Wing and Iron Moth. Although the Paradox Larvesta concepts were not given names, both were given distinct looks based on the Paradox Pokemon they would evolve into. For example, Past Paradox Larvesta was given the color palette of Slither Wing, along with more ruffled fur, yellow eyes with orange markings, and a light blue thorax. By comparison, Future Paradox Larvesta had a metallic body with orange LEDs for eyes, five diamond-shaped antennae, and a chromatic underside.

Pokemon Fan Artist Shares Past and Future Paradox Larvesta Concepts

HertzBurst also shared some renders of what each Paradox Larvesta form would look like in Pokemon Scarlet and Viole t's game engine. Like their past work with concepts including a Mega Starmie, HertzBurst's post garnered some attention from Pokemon fans. Although each of Paradox Larvesta's forms lacked a name, another user suggested that Crawling Spike and Iron Larva could respectively be utilized for the ancient and futuristic takes on the Torch Pokemon. Given that Slither Wing is a Bug and Fighting dual-type, along with Iron Moth's Fire and Poison typing, it is a safe assumption that each of Paradox Larvesta's forms would have similar traits.

Although Volcarona has received fan-made tributes such as LEGO builds before, fan art of Larvesta is not a common sight among Pokemon fans. It remains to be seen when Larvesta and Volcarona will make another appearance in the Pokemon series.
