A Pokemon fan artist took to social media to show off a new form of the fiery rabbit called Cinderace in the style of a potential Pokemon Legends: Z-A regional variant. The Pokemon fan artist shared their regional form of Cinderace in multiple poses, and other fans complimented them for their effort at remaking the Galarian fire starter.
Known as the Striker Pokemon, Cinderace first appeared in Pokemon Sword and Shield. As the final evolution of Scorbunny and Raboot, Cinderace is the Fire-type Starter of the Galar region and a fast physical attacker. Cinderace uses its signature Pyro Ball attack to kick a fireball like a soccer ball and strike its foes from long range. Cinderace is a solid choice in competitive Pokemon battles due to its Hidden Ability called Libero, which allows it to shift types to match the first move it uses. But, when exposed to Dynamax energy, Cinderace can Gigantamax into a special form that sees it standing atop a gargantuan fireball.
As fans continue to theorize what the Pokemon Legends: Z-A starters could be, one Pokemon fan artist took the initiative with Cinderace as their new subject. A Reddit user named MeeArt117 designed a "Z-A Cinderace" and shared their handiwork on the r/pokemon subreddit for all to see. Although Cinderace is exclusively a Fire-type critter, MeeArt117 chose to grant it the Electric type as a secondary type to compliment its flames. This regional variant of Cinderace was given blue and yellow fur, and thunderbolt patterns were shown on its forehead and chest. Were it to exist, Z-A Cinderace would share the same dual typing as the Legendary Pokemon Reshiram.
Pokemon Fan Artist Gives Cinderace A Heroic Regional Form
Although fan art depictions of Cinderace have been done before, MeeArt117 gave their Pokemon Legends: Z-A concept a look that was reminiscent of a superhero. In addition to its electric blue and yellow fur, Z-A Cinderace had a cape made of light blue plasma and goggles that covered its face similarly to a hero's mask. As for moves, Z-A Cinderace was drawn doing a diving kick at an unseen foe, as it had its arms stretched out in a heroic pose. Pokemon fans complimented MeeArt117 for their efforts in giving Cinderace a heroic makeover.
While The Pokemon Company has not revealed who the Starter Pokemon for Pokemon Legends: Z-A will be at the time of writing, the Cinderace family is obtainable in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet via the Indigo Disk DLC. Only time will tell when the Striker Pokemon will make another appearance.
