A creative and talented Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan is quickly gaining attention from other fans for their adorable and impressive handmade plushies of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet regional variant, Clodsire. A new fan favorite for many since first being added in the latest games, Clodsire's popularity is only continuing to grow.

Introduced as part of Pokemon's Generation 9, Clodsire is a dual-type Poison/Ground Pokemon. A regional variant, Clodsire is unique to the region of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Paldea, evolving from a Paldean Wooper starting at level 20. Being a new evolution for a Wooper, Clodsire is often compared to Quagsire, although the latter is considered far superior when it comes to competitive play. Still though, many fans seem to prefer the "cuter" design of Clodsire, as can be seen with this fan's adorable plushies.

The handmade Clodsire plushies were created by Reddit user Znlu, who posted their work to one of the site's primary Pokemon forums. Rather than stick closely to Clodsire's usual subdued, swamp-like color scheme, the artist opts for a bit lighter of a color palette, with the closest color combo being one with a light brown top and light beige bottom. Next to this Clodsire is another with a more accurate darker brown top, but with a mint-colored bottom. The third and final Clodsire gets extra whimsical with a yellow bottom and brown top, with what looks like sprinkles stitched throughout.

The trio of cutesy Clodsires is clearly popular with many a Pokemon fan, with the post amassing well over 500 upvotes at the time of writing. Several comments noted an ice cream theme, with the mint-colored one supposedly being mint chip. Plushies aren't the only thing Pokemon fans are creating for the character, as another fan has designed a Clodsire hoodie. The pullover design takes cues from Clodsire's features, including its back spots and round hands. While only a concept, the design received thousands of likes, indicating plenty of interest in the idea to move forward.

While the ice-cream themed Clodsire plushies have caught plenty of fans' eyes, Znlu isn't the first one to come up with a sweets-themed Pokemon plushie. A few weeks ago, another Pokemon fan created a Leafeon plushie, only rather than its usual feline profile, it was as a cupcake. With such a robust fan art community, it does seem as if a very niche subgenre is forming with such particular fan creations.

Although it appears that many Pokemon fans have been making Pokemon modeled after sweets, one fan modeled their sweets after Pokemon. A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan baked gingerbread Clodsires last holiday season, although with these, and any of the creations previously mentioned, they practically look too cute for anyone to want to eat anyway.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
