PlayStation Store Sale Offers Dirt Cheap Prices for Classic…

Sony has just launched a new PlayStation Store sale called the Remasters and Retro sale. This new promotion offers cheaper prices on some of the most recent remakes and remasters, alongside massive discounts for some of the most popular retro games on the PS4. It is worth noting that the sale won't go on forever, so those who are interested in picking up a deal or two should act now while the discounts are still available.

Headlining Sony's Remasters & Retro games sale is the 2019 remake of the classic 1998 survival horror game, Resident Evil 2. Players can pick up the deluxe edition of Resident Evil 2 for $22.99, which is 54% cheaper than its current list price of $49.99. To the uninitiated, Resident Evil 2: Deluxe Edition includes the base game, the option to swap the game's soundtrack to 1998 original, a deluxe weapon, and a wide assortment of costumes for both Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

Immediately after Resident Evil 2 remake's release last year, the game received overwhelmingly positive reviews from both players and critics, due to the remake's faithful recreation of the classic game, while adding new locations and storylines. Additionally, Resident Evil 2 remake already outsold the lifetime sales of the original game, selling over five million copies as of December 2019. Unfortunately, the remake of Resident Evil 3, which released last March, is not included in the sale.

Purchase Resident Evil 2: Deluxe Edition for $22.99 at the PlayStation Store

On the side of the retro games, the PlayStation Store is currently offering Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition for $5.99. A Wonderful Life originally released to the GameCube in 2004, before it was ported to the PlayStation 2 and PS4. Among the many Harvest Moon games that have been released thus far, A Wonderful Life is often regarded as one of the best, given its improved gameplay and graphics at the time.

Of course, this game, just like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, would be a perfect distraction amidst all the uncertainty happening across the world, and will definitely hold Harvest Moon fans over, while waiting for the remake of another classic Harvest Moon game, Friends of Mineral Town. Several weeks ago, it was announced that the remake will be called Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, and will be released on July 14th for the PC and Nintendo Switch.
