PlayStation Plus has been a boon for players like me, who love to experience the most games possible. But with its sprawling selection comes an unavoidable catch: it can be wickedly difficult to decide which game to play. But have no fear, I've arrived to be your PlayStation Plus guide.
There is, naturally, no shortage of critically acclaimed, popular games on PlayStation Plus, and on Game Pass, for that matter. The trouble is deciding which critically acclaimed blockbuster, indie darling, or sleeper hit is most worth your time. I've found that breaking things up week-by-week can be helpful here. Or it might just expand your backlog even more—sorry about that.
Sword of the Sea
Available on PS Plus Extra
Launched last month as a rare PS Plus Extra day-one release, Sword of the Sea is the latest psychedelic, groovy adventure game from the team that brought us Abzu and The Pathless. Sword of the Sea doesn't disappoint, delivering the same trance-like vibes and free-flowing movement of its predecessors while being a bit more out-there with its visuals and movement. If you've enjoyed Giant Squid's previous work, there's almost no chance you'll bounce off Sword of the Sea.

FBC: Firebreak
Available on PS Plus Extra
When I reviewed FBC: Firebreak at launch, I called it "more annoying than fun," which certainly wasn't a sterling endorsement. A few months later, I still don't totally love FBC: Firebreak, but I don't think it's something to completely avoid, either. Indeed, if you're a Remedy fan, then FBC: Firebreak could be right up your alley: it has the developer's one-of-a-kind charm and presence, even if it stumbles as a cooperative shooter. What's more is that Remedy plans to give the game the proper live-service treatment, with a major update coming this month. If you don't want to miss out on that, consider adding Firebreak to your library.
- How long to "beat" FBC: Firebreak: It takes around 10 hours to see all the content that FBC: Firebreak currently has to offer.

InFAMOUS First Light
Available on PS Plus Extra
It's a little confusing that inFAMOUS First Light is the only game from the series on PS Plus Extra. InFAMOUS Second Son is a criminally underrated game in my opinion, and if I had it my way, I'd be recommending it instead. But don't fret: First Light is a fantastic alternative. In this standalone expansion, you play as Fetch, a side character and love interest from the base game, who boasts a slew of "Neon" abilities. It's a unique power system, although it does suffer from being streamlined in comparison to Second Son's suite of powers. Still, it's an interesting story, and Fetch is arguably a better protagonist than Second Son's leading man Delsin, so it's more than worth your time—especially if you're a fan of the franchise.
- How long to beat inFAMOUS First Light: 5 hours for the main story, 10 hours to 100%.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure
Available on PS Plus Extra
LittleBigPlanet was all the rage back in the day, and while the series is dormant for now, fans might content themselves with spin-off platformer Sackboy: A Big Adventure. Moving out of the 2.5D realm of its predecessors, A Big Adventure has more diverse and nuanced movement systems, though it still retains the casual collect-a-thon nature of the LittleBigPlanet games. Put plainly, it's a great time, and even better if you have someone to dive into the co-op mode with.
- How long to beat Sackboy: A Big Adventure: 11 hours for the main campaign, 34 hours to 100%.

Go solo in an epic race against time stuffed with danger and peril – or create teams of two to four adventurers for fun-packed party play as you work together to overcome nefarious tasks however you can imagine. Can you save Craftworld from the dastardly Vex and his nightmarish Topsy Turver device… and become the Knitted Knight of legend?
The dastardly Vex (a near-mythical being born of chaos and fear) has kidnapped Sackboy’s friends and forced them to build his Topsy Turver.
This twisted device will transform Craftworld from a fantastical land of pure imagination and innocent dreams… into a torrid, barren eyesore of nightmares.
But legend tells of a prophecy from deep within the ancient order of the Knitted Knights, Craftworld’s legendary protectors.
For only the brave, fearless, chivalrous and, yes, gallant can save the day in an almost too dramatic for words race against time stuffed with danger and peril.
