PlayStation Plus is continuing its 15th anniversary celebrations by offering players the opportunity to grab a batch of special Anniversary Avatars for free for a limited time. PlayStation Plus first began celebrating its 15th anniversary on June 25 with a game trial for the upcoming WWE 2K25 in addition to offering a special 15% discount to PS Plus Premium members for movie purchases through Sony Pictures Core.
PlayStation Plus recently revealed its August 2025 lineup, which includes titles like Lies of P, DayZ, and My Hero: One’s Justice 2. The reveal of the August 2025 lineup for PS Plus was notable as it came a day earlier than normal, with Sony also adding more games than usual, in addition to offering subscribers promotional giveaways and other bonus goodies.

Anniversary Avatars Now Available for PS Plus Subscribers
Sony has officially released an exclusive batch of Anniversary Avatars for PlayStation Plus subscribers following hints of their August 5 rollout back on August 2, 2025. The Anniversary Avatars are all themed around popular titles available on PlayStation, including Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarok, Twisted Metal, Hogwarts Legacy, and Diablo IV. To acquire these Anniversary Avatars, PS Plus subscribers will need to redeem them using a code that varies depending upon the region in which they’re located.

The Anniversary Avatar pack will be available to PS Plus subscribers until September 10, 2025, giving players plenty of time to redeem them. In addition to revealing the Anniversary Avatars and their redemption codes for each region, Sony also provided a QR code in its promotional image that takes players to a support page outlining how to redeem a PlayStation Store voucher. The steps include navigating to the PlayStation Store, selecting the player’s profile at the top of the screen, selecting “Redeem Code” from the drop-down menu, and entering the 12-digit code.
As previously mentioned, the August 2025 lineup for PlayStation Plus includes titles like Lies of P, which will be available for all PS Plus tiers, Essential and higher, from August 5 until September 2. Meanwhile, PS Plus Premium subscribers can also look forward to a new free trial opportunity for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, along with classic catalog additions like Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4.
Overall, it’s exciting to see Sony supporting the 15th anniversary for PlayStation Plus as it continues its best run in years, with many considering the monthly lineups for June, July, and August 2025 to be among the best the service has ever seen. It will be interesting to see moving forward what other surprises Sony has in store for PlayStation Plus subscribers, both in relation to its 15th anniversary, and in terms of its lineup of games for September 2025.
