Yesterday even saw the long awaited reveal of the system's new features and hardware specs, leaving many wondering why Sony remains so quiet on its next generation plans. It's unknown if this is a response to Microsoft's reveal earlier this week or not but Sony has finally awoken and confirmed its plans for revealing the PlayStation 5.

Details remain a bit scarce, though the tweet does mention that the deep dive will include a look at the system architecture and how the console will "shape the future of games." Many fans are holding out hope that Sony will go a step further than Microsoft did by announcing a price point for the system, a release date, as well as a game or two running on the hardware. Speculation and reports have even indicated that delays could hit both systems due to the virus forcing business and manufacturers forcing temporary shut downs. Regardless, fans may finally be getting answers to these pressing questions.
