PlayStation officially launched its 2022 Wrap-Up on December 13. Between now and January 13, 2023, PS4 and PS5 users can view and share a recap of their PlayStation activity over the previous year.
PlayStation Wrap-Up is an annual online event where players can look back over their activities for the previous year. The company’s offered versions of the feature for the last several years, and the Wrap-Up reports are typically available for one month after they go live.
Sony Content Communications Manager Tim Turi announced the 2022 Wrap-Up on the PlayStation Blog. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 console users can see their year in review by visiting the official Wrap-Up page. Users can view a record of all the Trophies earned, games played, hours played, the number of games downloaded through PlayStation Plus, and their most-played game of 2022. It also lets players view an aggregate of the community’s activity over the last year. These include the total number of Axes thrown in God of War: Ragnarok, Thunderjaws defeated in Horizon Forbidden West, and miles driven in Gran Turismo 7.
After going through their entire 2022 PlayStation Wrap-Up, players receive a shareable summary card. The card includes the number of hours played, Trophies earned, games played, and PS Plus games downloaded. It also shows which game the player spent the most time in during 2022, the number of hours played, and the percentage of their gaming time spent on that title. Tim Turi shared his own Wrap-Up summary in the blog post, revealing that he spent 17% of his time in Elden Ring, or about 18 in 480 hours venturing across the Lands Between.
Players must have a registered PSN account, be 18 or older, and have played at least 10 hours of PS4 and PS5 games this year to view their 2022 Wrap-Up. They also must have “Full Data” collection enabled on their PS5. In addition, PS4 users in Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Africa, India, and Australasia must have also consented to “Additional Data” collection in 2022.
The 2022 PlayStation Wrap-Up will update through December 31, so players may want to check back for the final results at the beginning of January. As an incentive to check it out, users will receive a free voucher code for one of six PlayStation Astro Bot avatars. Players need to flip through all the Wrap-Up pages before unlocking their avatar, which reflects their activity over the last year. The codes are also sharable and can be redeemed by multiple players within the same regions.
