Luckily for Mortal Kombat fans who can't wait for the Mortal Kombat 1 release date to roll around, they have had multiple opportunities to play the game ahead of its September 19 launch. Now Mortal Kombat 1 fans have the opportunity to play the pre-order beta, but only on specific platforms and for a very limited time.
The Mortal Kombat 1 pre-order beta is live right now on PS5 and Xbox Series X and will be available until August 21. The only way fans can get access to the beta is by pre-ordering Mortal Kombat 1 on PS5 or Xbox Series X. No plans for a PC or Switch pre-order beta have been announced at the time of this writing. The Mortal Kombat 1 pre-order beta only has two stages to choose from as well, but the final product will obviously have many more fighters and stages.
Mortal Kombat fans will have the opportunity to play the full game early, as long as they're willing to pay $109.99 for the Premium Edition or $249.99 for the Kollector's Edition. Anyone impressed by the Mortal Kombat 1 pre-order beta may want to consider upgrading their copy of the game to get early access if they haven't already.
