Pikmin 4 has finally been released (there hasn't been a new numbered entry for about ten years), and those that played the demo in the pre-launch period can transfer over some data into the full version of the game. The demo lets players check out the beginning of Pikmin 4, and it ends once a specific number of Sparklium is obtained by collecting treasures and other stuff. While most demos typically don't allow players the option to transfer their saved data to the retail version counterpart, Nintendo has gifted Pikmin fans with quite the treat.

Does the Pikmin 4 Demo Carryover?

Pikmin 4 How to Heal Oatchie (Can Oatchie Die)

To answer this basic question: yes. Players of the Pikmin 4 demo can transfer their progress right into the full game, letting them start the game from where they left off --this will save tons of time due to being able to skip those long introductory tutorial sequences. Pikmin 4 players will also get another gift as a little reward for downloading the demo.

Should You Import Save Data to Pikmin 4?

If you want to start where you left off, hit the 'Import' button once Pikmin 4 is booted up. The game will give players the option as long as the saved data from the demo is present. If someone chooses no, they'll just have to start the game from the beginning.

What's the Bonus Gift?

Players who have completed the Pikmin 4 demo and transferred their data over will receive five Bomb Rocks as a reward. This will appear in players' packs, which can only be used and opened in one of the main stages (such as Sun Speckled Terrace) --not in the area where the crew hangs out with the ship.

The player character can throw the Bomb Rocks to known down certain walls and cause major damage to enemies. If someone is low on Pikmin and needs a little boost during a boss fight or tough encounter, these bombs will come in handy.
