While ghosts do like to roam in Phasmophobia, they typically spend most of their time in or around their favorite room, often known as the Ghost Room. On lower difficulties, this room won't change, allowing players to focus on it.
Phasmophobia: How to Identify All Ghosts
Each ghost in Phasmophobia comes with special abilities that can help you identify them. Here's what you need to look out for on any difficulty.
The Ghost Room is the best place to find evidence, with three pieces of evidence being required to identify a ghost. Therefore, knowing how to find the Ghost Room quickly in Phasmophobia will help immensely. Once they have found the room, players can begin to bring all their equipment in.
Equipment To Find The Ghost Room In Phasmophobia
All Equipment in Phasmophobia has its uses, but some items are better for finding the Ghost Room or at least the general location of the ghost. Players should decide what to take first based on the size of the map and whether they are playing alone or with friends.
- EMF Reader: This will instantly pick up any activity. Running around with an EMF Reader is a viable tactic.
- An upgraded Thermometer: The Ghost Room will be cold, and level II or III Thermometers can give fast readings.
The Ghost Room will typically be colder than 10 degrees Celsius, but make sure the Breaker is turned on so that other rooms heat up.
- Parabolic Microphone: Listen out for the ghost or doors being opened at long range. Great on large maps.
- Video Camera: With night vision on, players will be able to see where they are going and they may find Ghost Orbs.
- Tier I D.O.T.S Projector: You can walk around with this item looking for an outline of the ghost.
- Sound & Motion Sensors: Set these up in various locations and monitor from the truck.
Phasmophobia: All Cursed Possessions (& What They Do)
Players can find 7 Cursed Possessions in Phasmophobia, each with a different mechanic that can help or deter players from identifying the ghost.
Clues To Find The Ghost Room In Phasmophobia
Other than using Equipment, players can rely on their senses to help them find the Ghost Room or at least narrow down the location.
- Noise: Listen out for sounds, such as doors opening and closing, footsteps, items being thrown, and ghost noises.
- Look: Look for items that have been thrown or displaced.
- Doors: Keep doors shut so that you know when one is opened by a ghost.
- Cold Breath: The Ghost Room will be colder than other places, so look for cold breath. If it's snowing though, everywhere will have cold breath.
The Ghost Room doesn't have to be a room per se, it can be a stretch of hallway, for example.
