Persona 5 Tactica is, as its name suggests, a Tactics RPG starring the cast of Persona 5. As such players will need to take full advantage of positioning and plan ahead to outwit, outmaneuver, and overcome their foes. This means players will need to manipulate enemy positions and take full advantage of the "One-More" system.

Persona 5 Tactica allows players to take an extra action with a character after they successfully "down" an enemy. This allows a single character to extend their turn indefinitely as long as they keep downing their opponents, and can allow for some incredibly effective combos. Downing foes is also necessary to make use of the "Triple-Threat" All-Out Attack.

Persona 5 Tactica: Version Differences Explained (& Is the Digital Deluxe Edition Worth It?)

There are several versions of Persona 5 Tactica available for purchase, so here's a breakdown of each version and what they include.

How to Down Enemies

To knock a target down in Persona 5 Tactica, players will first need to get them away from cover. Enemies in cover will resist incoming attacks and can be troublesome to deal with, but hitting them with a melee attack will push them out of cover and leave them exposed. Striking an exposed target with any kind of attack will knock them down and trigger "One-More." This is the first method of knocking enemies down that players will have access to.

If an enemy has been hit with a status effect, like burn or forget, they can be knocked down simply by hitting them with any attack. This makes it easy to deal with enemies that are unreachable due to environmental obstacles and is a great reason to bring along Ann once she becomes playable.

When an enemy is downed the character who landed that attack will get "One-More," allowing them to take an additional action. By setting up enemies properly, it is possible for a single character to dance through an entire group of foes by chaining together One-Mores and dish out a huge amount of damage. After unlocking "Triple-Threat," players can form a triangular formation around a downed enemy to perform an AOE All-Out Attack and potentially take out multiple foes simultaneously, further incentivizing players to knock enemies down as often as possible.

Despite all three team members being involved in the All-Out Attack, only the member that triggered the attack will spend their action, making this a very efficient way to end a character's moves for the turn. Only a character who is affected by "One-More" can activate Triple-Threat, which is important to consider when downing enemies and setting up for the attack.
