Fusing new Personas is a great way to branch out and learn new elemental attacks to target weaknesses and knock down enemies for an all-out-attack in Persona 5 Royal. Some elements won't appear often right away, especially from the shadows in the first palace, but fusion can help you get those different elements faster.

How To Fuse Kodama In Persona 5 Royal
Kodama is a Persona of the Star Arcana, meaning it will get more XP when fused based on your current confidant rank with Hifumi, who will be unlocked later in the game than level 11. Fusing Kodama is fairly easy, and can be done using many Shadows found throughout Kamoshida's palace or from the first few floors in Mementos.

Overall, Kodama is a strong magic-focused Persona that players can fuse before the fight with Kamoshida. It's unique in that it is one of the first ways you can use a Psy skill, as it learns Psi at level 12. Psy skills deal technical damage to enemies that are currently affected with a mind-related status effect s such as:

- Brainwash
- Forget
Kodama will also come with the support skill Rakunda, which will lower the defense of one target for three turns. This skill is incredibly useful against early-game bosses, as it is much easier to lower just one enemy's defense instead of trying to buff your entire party's attack. Overall, Kodama is a strong Persona that players should bring into the fight with Kamoshida, and can even be used for fusion to carry on Rakunda to other Personas you plan on using for boss fights.
