Marian is a Bless Element Medic in Persona 5: The Phantom X, and her kit is a decent mixture of support, cleanse, and healing over time, which makes her the best healer in the entire game. As one of the top-rated 5-Star Phantom Idols, Minami Miyashita, whom players can meet by completing her secondary quest "Steel Your Heart," is a sophomore who wishes to become a nurse in the future. Her whole design and Persona are related to nursing the team back to Optimal Health, removing Ailments, and attacking the enemies with Bless Power.

Persona 5 Phantom X Best Leon (Kamiyama) Build
Persona 5 Phantom X Best Leon (Kamiyama) Build

Leon (Kamiyama) is one of the S-Tier characters in Persona 5: The Phantom X, and here's the best build to draw his maximum potential.

For those who are thinking of adding Marian to their teams (and have the luck of drawing this Phantom Idol from the Gacha Bannerç), here's a complete guide on her abilities, passives, Awareness Perks, optimal Revelation Cards, best Team Composition, priority stats, and core gameplay. First, an overview of her skills and passives.

All Marian Skills & Passives in Persona 5: The Phantom X

Marian and her Persona, Thalia, are Bless aligned, and this means she is weak to Nuclear, and receives reduced damage from the Bless attribute. It's a breath of fresh air for a roster that doesn't have too many Bless options (except Wonder with certain Personas equipped), and even though her kit is mostly focused on healing, her Nurse's Light skill and Follow up attacks do Bless Damage to enemies, so they're a good resource to fight against Curse aligned opponents.

Marian's main mechanic consists of gaining Diagnosis stacks; each of these stacks (up to 10) increases the Compassionate Cure, granting healing to one ally based on Diagnosis stacks spent, and adding extra HP to the whole party based on Minami's max HP. This effect is enhanced by the total amount of Diagnosis charges spent. Marian generates Diagnosis stacks once at the start of battle, and each time she uses certain skills like Nurse's Light and Healing Grace.

Here's a list of all Minami's skills, passives, and Awareness Perks:

  • Nurse's Light: Deals Bless damage to one foe equal to 37.3% of Minami's max HP, and grants 1 Blessing stack to the party. Also, gains one Diagnosis stack.
  • Healing Grace: Restores HP equal to 11.4% of Minami's max HP + 112 to the ally with the lowest HP and one selected ally, and cures 2 debuffs. Grants 1 Blessing stack to allies healed, and grants Minami 1 Diagnosis stack. At the start of each turn for 2 turns, restores the HP of allies healed by this skill equal to 9.1% of Minami's max HP +89. (The flat HP healed per use scales with the Skill level, but the Heal% scales with Minami's Max Health).
  • Compassionate Cure: Spends all Diagnosis stacks, and restores HP to the selected ally equal to 10.3% of Minami's max HP + 101. Also restores HP of the ally with the lowest HP with this effect 2 Times. For each Diagnostic stack, activate this effect 1 more time. For each Diagnosis stack spent, increase the max HP of all allies (except Minami) by 7.5% of Minami's max HP for 2 turns (up to a flat amount of 112, which scales with Skill level).
  • Thief Tactics: Minami's Highlight restores the party's HP by 11.5% of Minami's max HP + 113, and cures 1 debuff. Increase the party's max HP by 16.5% of Minami's max HP (up to 247) for 2 turns. At the end of an action, restore HP equal to 4.3% of Minami's max HP + 41 for 1 turn. One More: Deals Bless damage to a single foe.
  • Health Comes First: After Minami heals an ally, increases that ally's damage by 15.0% + 3.0% for each Blessing stack active on the target ally (up to a max of 30%). Lasts for 1 turn.
  • Peace of Mind: At the start of battle, increases the party's max HP by 10.0% of Minami's max HP (up to 500 - cap increases with the skill level).

Values of Health and certain mechanics might vary depending on Minami's current Awareness ranks, which are increased by feeding her Cognitite in the Training menu. Skills like Nurse's Light and Healing Grace are considerably enhanced the closer Minami is to Max Awareness (Rank 6).

Best Panther Build in P5X Persona 5 The Phantom X
Best Panther Build in Persona 5 Phantom X

Panther is one of the strongest Phantom Thieves in P5X, and here's how to build her to destroy every enemy in the game.

Players should prioritize leveling Compassionate Grace, as its Minami's core skill, then level Thief Tactics, Healing Grace, and Nurse's Light, in that order. Minami's priority stats are Flat HP, HP %, HP Recovery, and SP Recovery (since Marian spends lots of SP per combat). Focus on rotating between Nurse's Light and Healing Grace, to stack up the party with Blessing and charge Minami's Diagnosis pool. Once it's full, it will be time to use Compassionate Cure. Prioritize squishy allies, like Assassins and Sweepers, preventing them from falling out of combat before they are able to activate their own mechanics.

Awareness Level

Perk

Rank 0

Nurse's Oath: At the start of battle, gains one Diagnosis stack. At the start of Minami's turn, if any ally's HP is below 70%, gain one Diagnosis stack. Diagnosis can stack up to 2 times.

Rank 1

Angel in White: When healing allies above max HP, increase the target's pierce by 20% for 2 turns. (Pierce increases overpenetration, meaning that attacks will ignore 20% of the target's armor flat value).

Rank 2

Critical Care: When using Healing Grace, the skill heals one more ally (for a total of 3), and if the target's HP is below 50%, it increases the healing effect by 20%.

Rank 3

Practical Care: Increases the skill levels of Healing Grace and Thief Tactics by 3.

Rank 4

Nursing Practice: Enhances Highlight, extending the duration of the Max HP buff and healing effects by one turn.

Rank 5

Undying Devotion: increases the Skill levels of Nurse's Light and Compassionate Cure by 3.

Rank 6

Guardian of Life: Restores a KO'd ally, granting them HP equal to 40% of Minami's max HP +1200. This effect can be activated once per battle.

As Minami increases her Awareness levels, she will gain even more healing, and an extra attack buff that increases armor penetration. At max level, she will gain the ability to automatically resurrect a fallen Ally during her next turn. Although this effect can happen once per combat, it is still one of the strongest reasons to aim for drawing Marian in the Gacha Banner as many times as possible. The base Minami is already SS-Tier, but the Awarenes Level 6 Minami is a healing powerhouse, greatly surpassing Lufel and Mona combined.

Blessing grants HP recovery to the target Party Member of 1% of the Max HP during 2 turns. It can be stacked indefinitely.

Best Marian Weapons in P5X

Best Marian Weapons P5X

Angel Heart is the top-tier 5-star weapon for Minami, a heart-shaped nurse kit that empowers her abilities to the extreme. For starters, it increases Minami's Max HP by 30%. When Minami has Diagnosis, it increases her healing output by 10%. When spending Diagnosis, it increases the whole Party damage by 25% for 1 turn. This last damage buff is its main attraction, and more than enough reason for players to aim for this premium weapon. Of course, getting Angel Heart will not be an easy task. Unless players have Salamander Coins to spare, they will need to invest lots of Platinum Milicoin in the weapon gacha.

Hymn of Life is the cheaper option that can be obtained using Gecko Coins in the Airsoft Shop, but it's a 4-star weapon and doesn't offer as many benefits as Angel Heart. Though the most interesting part is its primary perk, Total Coverage, which increases healing by 8.7%, and the continuous Healing Effect by 28.5%. After using a healing skill, there's a 26% chance to grant Blessing to the main target.

Best Marian Revelation Cards in P5X

Love & Faith is the ideal Revelation Card set for Marian, since its bonuses directly impact on her whole kit, by adding overall healing boost of 9%, and increased healing to allies below 50% HP for an extra 23% that stacks with Minami's own bonuses. This creates an uber-healing effect that can nurse back any weak party member to full health in just a single action. And for critical fights like Shadow Miyazawa (Aegipan), healing is the way to resist a battle of attrition where the boss is continuously chipping away the whole Party's health with DoT, and ailments like Curse. The Faith effect increases Minami's healing effect by 1% for every 800 HP she has, up to a maximum of 20%, which scales with overall HP (Flat+bonus%), capping at 16000 health.

Best Team Composition for Marian in P5X

Best Team Composition for Marian in P5X

Marian can be put to work in almost every team in Persona 5: The Phantom X, though she is better suited to accompany heavy hitters like Joker, Skull, Mont, and Closer. Still, there's a team that excels at both attack and defense, and has Marian as its core: Wonder with Ice Build, Soy, Mont, and Okyann as Elucidator. This group has everything it needs to fight most enemies who are not immune to ice, and thanks to Mont's incredible damage output, players will be set in terms of DPS. Soy, on the other hand, can buff the whole party's max HP, empowering Minami's abilities, while Minami empowers Soy's own HP scaling, turning in an endless cycle of buffing the party's Max HP and granting shields, healing, and Recovery from status effects.
