Recent evidence suggests that Persona 3 Reload could be following other AAA games and will be priced at $70 at launch. Originally announced during the Xbox Games Showcase, Persona 3 Reload is a complete overhaul of the original Persona 3 from 2006, adding a number of quality of life features that make it akin to modern RPGs like Atlus' own Persona 5. That being said, this remake is explicitly based on the 2006 original without too many influences from the re-releases that came after like Persona 3 Portable and FES.

The Persona 3 remake will be omitting the added content like Portable's female protagonist Kotone Shiomi or The Answer playable segment from the FES. Despite fans being excited about the remake, they have also made their gripes known about how the remake isn't going to be including everything that the past re-releases have added, with Reload feeling less like a "definitive" version of the game. Fan expectations seem to be dampened a bit more with the possible reveal of its price tag on release.

A recent survey was sent out by Sega in regard to Persona 3 Reload. This survey included a snippet of the game's listed price tag, which hasn't been revealed yet in an official capacity, seemingly confirming that it will be a $70 release. This would put it at the same price as other games currently available like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Forspoken, and Dead Island 2. This screenshot was preserved on ResetEra, with some fans taking umbrage on it over the forum.

Persona 3 Reload Price 70

Some fans are not happy about the game's apparent $69.99 price. Some even stated they would only play the Xbox Game Pass version of the game just because of the price hike. Others had made their ire known about how Persona 3 Reload is still missing content from FES and Portable, yet it is looking to be a full priced release. More cynical gamers even suggested that Atlus could even attempt to re-release Reload with the aforementioned omitted content included in another game like it had done with Royal before, possibly pricing that re-release for a full $70 as well.

Earlier this year, Sega stated it was monitoring the situation regarding game prices in an earnings call, with prices possibly increasing based on its observations. This decision might be reflected with Persona 3 Reload's possible price tag. This, however, is mostly speculation and shouldn't be taken at face value until this detail is officially confirmed by either Sega or Atlus itself.

Persona 3 Reload is coming in early 2024 to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
