One of the fusion types in Persona 3 Reload is Special Fusion. Special Fusions will often require multiple Personas and will be the only way to obtain that specific Persona. As you progress through the game, new Special Fusions will be unlocked, with a few being tied to completing social links.
For the most part, Personas obtained through special fusion will be much stronger than those from regular fusion at the same level. Having multiple Personas being a part of fusion also helps provide more choices when deciding which skills to transfer over. One of the last Special Fusions players will unlock is Metatron, a level 87 Persona of the Aeon arcana; here's how to fuse it.

How To Fuse Metatron In Persona 3 Reload
To fuse Metatron, players will first need to complete Aigis' social link and get the Charred Screw key item. With it, players will unlock the special fusion for Metatron, which requires:

Being the ultimate Persona of the Aeon arcana, you'll be guaranteed the full XP bonus of all ten ranks of the social link when fusing this Persona. Being at level 87, some players may need to use the Sun major tarot card in Tartarus that will let them fuse a Persona five levels higher than their own when trying to complete this special fusion.

How Strong Is Metatron In Persona 3 Reload
Metatron is one of the strongest Personas in the game and comes with one of the best Strike skills in the game. While Metatron's Magic skill is higher, God's Hand will still do an incredible amount of damage, making this Persona a great base for a strength build. Divine Judgment does fall behind in usefulness at this stage of the game, but Makougaon and Megidolaon give Metatron incredible magic options to take advantage of its stats.
After leveling Metatron up a few times, players will get the Contract Angel Wing, which is used to fuse Metatronius, Aigi's ultimate weapon. Even if you don't intend on using this Persona yourself, fusing it and leveling it up just for that weapon is more than worthwhile, as it boosts all of Aigi's stats by five. The angels required for this fusion are also some of the better Personas in the game and will offer some powerful options to build Metatron exactly how you want without the need for skill cards.
