Every Place You Can Buy Max Safety Shoes

You can't buy Max Safety Shoes at any of the stores in Tatsumi Port Island. The only way to get Max Safety Shoes is to buy them from Tanaka's Amazing Commodities. This is a weekly shopping program that airs every Sunday starting on 5/3. He'll sell the Max Safety Shoes on 7/12 for 9800.

Before you interact with the TV on 7/12, make sure you have 9800 on hand. If you don't have enough, you won't be able to order, and the Max Safety Shoes will be "sold out." You can always save your game before checking Tanaka's Amazing Commodities.

Alternative: Buy Max Safety Shoes at Port Island Station

If you missed out on Tanaka's sale, you can buy the Max Safety Shoes from a Shady-Looking Man outside the Screenshot movie theater at Port Island Station. He'll have a blue exclamation point over his head if you've accepted Elizabeth's Request 40: I'd like to see a pair of Max Safety Shoes (unlocked 7/9).

Port Island Station can only be visited during the afternoon.

The Max Safety Shoes are expensive, being 20000 instead of Amazing Commodities' 9800. On the plus side, the Shady-Looking Man NPC won't disappear after 7/19, so you'll have some time to earn the amount you need:

You can get money by working part-time at Chagall Cafe or at Screenshot.
You should also sell your Treasures at the Police Station.
Finally, choosing the Pentacles Tarot Cards during Shuffle Time will reward you with some money at the end of battle.

If you've already bought the Max Safety Shoes from Tanaka's Amazing Commodities, then the Shady-Looking Man won't appear at Port Island Station.

Request 40: I'd like to see a pair of Max Safety Shoes

If you've accepted Request 40 from Elizabeth on 7/9, you'll notice she wants to see a pair of Max Safety Shoes. Chances are that you won't have them at the time of accepting the request. You'll likely have to wait until 7/12 or 7/19 to complete the Request for a new playthrough. Once you have them, speak to Elizabeth to receive x3 Twilight Fragments.

Max Safety Shoes can be worn by any of your teammates except Koromaru and Aigis. They have a defense of 49 and add +50HP. They're better equipped on characters that specialize in physical skills.
