Special Fusions are a mechanic in Persona 3 Reload that require more than two Personas. As you climb Tartarus, you'll unlock key items that allow you to fuse certain Personas. Dakini (Hermit) isn't a Persona that requires Special Fusion, but you'll need her if you want to unlock Parvati (Priestess). There are several ways to add Dakini to the compendium in Persona 3 Reload. If you want to use Dakini in battle, then you should obtain her through fusion.

How to Fuse Dakini

You can get Dakini from Shuffle Time on the Tziah Block (119-144). If you're getting her through Shuffle Time, then her level will be set to 38, and she'll have two skills:

  • Herculean Strike
  • Counterstrike

It's not recommended to get Dakini this way if you want to use her for combat, since she can only learn other skills through Skill Cards.

Another way to get Dakini is through Dyad Fusions. There are multiple fusion recipes, but here are a few that you may want to try out for yourself:

Dakini's best stat is her Strength, so it's recommended you transfer physical skills (ie: Slash, Pierce, or Strike) or passive skills that enhance her physical prowess. As such, you may consider fusing Yaksini and Oni, who are both "physical" Personas.

Dakini's base level is 38, so if you're trying to get her through fusions, the protagonist's level must be level 38 or higher. You'll probably want to have Dakini registered so that you can use her for fusions. If you want to have the option to transfer some of her later-skills (ex: High Counter), you'll have some leveling up to do.

Dakini's Skills are all passive and physical to reflect her stats. Herculean Strike is her best physical skill, but you can give her something stronger through Skill Cards or fusion. Two Skills you may consider are Strike Boost and Apt Pupil. Strike Boost, as its name indicates, increases the power of Dakini's Strike skills; Apt Pupil doubles her critical hit rate.

Who Can Fuse with Dakini?

If you have Dakini on hand, you can see who she can be fused with by selecting Dyad Fusion in the Velvet Room. Otherwise, you'll want to save Dakini for Parvati (Priestess), who you can get via Special Fusion. You will need to be level 48 to unlock Parvati's Special Fusion. To get Parvati, you'll need the following Personas:

  • Dakini
  • Sati
  • Sarasvati

Ironically, Parvati's best stat is her Magic, and her skillset lacks physical skills. She's best used for support, making her very different from Dakini. As such, you'll find yourself passing down Sati or Sarasvati's skills to Parvati rather than Dakini's.
