One Persona that you may want to consider adding to your lineup in the earlier game of Persona 3 Reload is Matador. He's a Persona of the Strength Arcana, meaning you can bring him along when you're working on the Strength Social Link to get an extra Social Link point. Matador works best as a physical fighter and has some decent Physical Skills to back him up. His moderate Agility also makes him ideal for the beginning blocks of Tartarus. As you progress through your Persona 3 Reload playthrough, you can swap him out for stronger Personas. However, Matador can also be used in various fusions to make stronger Personas, so he's one you'll want to unlock as soon as possible.
Persona 3 Reload: How to Fuse Decarabia
You'll need the Pentagram Stone to get Decarabia in Persona 3 Reload, so here's everything there is to know.
Matador Fusion Recipes
Which Personas Will Create Matador?
You don't need a key item to fuse Matador, but you'll need to be at level 22 or higher in order to fuse it. Thanks to its lower level, you can fuse Matador with "earlier" Personas that you can get from Shuffle Time on the first half of the Yabbashah Block (Floor 70-92) and the second half of Arqa Block (Floor 44-69). Here are several fusion recipes you can try:

It's likely you won't be using Matador in the late-game phase of Persona 3 Reload. However, if you do, then you can start swapping out some of his Skills for better ones via Skill Cards:
- Evade Fire or Resist Fire is generally recommended instead of Dodge Fire. Evade Fire "greatly" increases the chances of avoiding Fire damage, while Resist Fire will nullify Matador's Affinity weakness.
- You can swap out Torrent Shot for something like Myriad Arrows or Poison Arrow. Myriad Arrows will hit all foes for a certain amount of times, and Poison Arrow only targets one enemy, but has a chance of poisoning them as well.
- You can give Matador some Passive Skills that enhance his evasion (Ali Dance) or half his HP cost for Physical Skills (Arms Master).
- Charge is also a suitable MP-Skill over Dekunda, but you can also use buffs such as Matarukaja, which raises the Attack of your entire team for 3 turns.
