There are 264 floors in Tartarus split into "blocks" that you'll climb throughout the story of Persona 3 Reload. On each block, there are powerful enemies called Gatekeeper bosses. These Shadows are in place to test your strength and usually serve as a good indicator of whether you're ready or not for the month's Full Moon Operation. A challenging Gatekeeper boss that you'll run into in Persona 3 Reload is the Venomous Magus. At this point in P3R, you should have more teammates to choose from and more Personas at your disposal. Thus, Venomous Magus shouldn't prove too much of a challenge, but you'll want to bring someone who can target its weakness to make the fight a bit easier.
Persona 3 Reload: How to Fuse Decarabia
You'll need the Pentagram Stone to get Decarabia in Persona 3 Reload, so here's everything there is to know.
Where to Find Venomous Magus in Persona 3 Reload
Yabbashah Block, Second Half
On August 8 (8/1), you'll receive a call from Elizabeth that the second half of the Yabbashah Block can be accessed. This consists of Floors 93-118. The first Gatekeeper boss of Yabbashah second half is the Venomous Magus. You will be forced to battle it on Floor 99. There's a teleporter on this floor as well, so use it to warp back to the entrance to save or switch your team.
It's recommended to bring a Persona or items that can cure Poisons. If you want to go a step further, bring someone with Dekaja or Dekunda to negate Buffs/Debuffs.
Venomous Magus Weakness in Persona 3 Reload
Venomous Magus Boss Fight Walkthrough
The Venomous Magus is weak to electric, so have Akihiko on your team, or have a Persona that knows Zio Skills. The two Five Fingers of Blights that accompany the Venomous Magus are weak to Dark. Thus, it's recommended to bring Koromaru and use his Maeiga Skill to target them both. If you can Down all three of them with Akihiko and Koromaru, go in for the All-Out Attack.
A recommended team for the Venomous Magus fight is:
- Akihiko
- Koromaru
- Yukari
You'll want to get rid of the Five Fingers of Blights first, since they'll be buffing the Venomous Magus with Tarukaja or debuffing your team. If you're hit with a stat debuff, you can use Dekunda to negate it. Aigis will have the Dekunda Skill when she joins the team, so if she's in your lineup, feel free to use the Skill when necessary.
True to its name, the Venomous Magus will try to inflict Poison on your entire team. You can cure Poison with Mabaisudi or Amrita Shower Skills. Otherwise, you should stock up on Poison-curing items such as:
