Pedro Pascal is one of the busiest actors in Hollywood right now, and he shows no sign of slowing down. Not only is the talented actor filming Avengers: Doomsday before his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, but he has also taken the lead in the upcoming romantic comedy Materialists, which also stars Dakota Johnson and Chris Evans. Fresh from his role as Joel in HBO's The Last of Us, Pascal has even more movie ambitions up his sleeve, and that's a desire to play one of horror's most savage serial killers who enjoys eating people for breakfast, lunch, and probably dinner too.
Pascal is also gearing up to return next year as Din Djarin in The Mandalorian & Grogu, so the Chilean/American actor already has more than enough on his plate. Regardless, with as much skill for the small and big screen as Pascal has, fans are excited to see even more of him, especially after his incredible role as Joel. Sadly, and in keeping with the Naughty Dog game, Pascal's character didn't get too much airtime on The Last of Us season 2 due to his horrific death at the hands of Abby Anderson. Thankfully, though, fans got to see Joel a bit more towards the end of the series as he came back in some of the show's most emotional flashbacks, as well as providing viewers with a little look into his childhood and where his generational trauma stemmed from.

The Last of Us Season 2's second episode provides plenty of differences that fans of the video game might not have seen coming.
Pedro Pascal Would Love To Play Hannibal Lecter
While recently answering rapid-fire questions with his The Materialists co-star Dakota Johnson on Vogue’s YouTube channel, Johnson asked Pascal what role he would love to play next, with Pascal answering very quickly, saying, “Hannibal Lecter”. Although the questions were all mostly answered quite jokingly as the pair acted up for the cameras, Pascal's incredible ability to jump into very serious roles would certainly suit the psychopathic serial killer who initially appeared in Thomas Harris’ novel Red Dragon before taking the spotlight in the 1991 horror film The Silence of the Lambs, in which Lecter was played by Anthony Hopkins alongside Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling.
Due to Pascal's big Hollywood status at the moment, if he were to star as Hannibal in a TV series or a movie reboot, it would certainly bring the crowds in due to how likable he is as well as his top-tier acting abilities. Some Pascal fans may even say that he could give the likes of Mads Mikkelsen, who played Lecter on NBC’s Hannibal, and the world-class actor that is Anthony Hopkins, a run for their money. With a new Hannibal Lecter movie reportedly in the works by Universal, and it being unclear if Hopkins will come back to his role, this opens up a very big opportunity for Pascal, or maybe he's already got the part? Either way, the TV and movie world is Pascal's oyster, and fans will greatly greet him with open arms regardless of what role he takes up next.
