PEAK drops you on an island after a plane crash, and now you and your friends have to climb a giant mountain to escape. The world has different biomes, and each one comes with its own challenges. If you are a pro scout and want to take things up a notch, you can also go after badges to show off your skills.
PEAK has over 30 badges you can earn during your climb. Some ask you to eat certain foods, while others ask you to avoid using specific items. One of these badges is called Participation. It sounds simple, but the name doesn’t really explain what you’re supposed to do, which can be a bit confusing. If you are confused about how to get the Participation Badge in PEAK, we break it all down below.
PEAK: How to Get the Leave No Trace Badge
Leave No Trace is a tough achievement to complete in PEAK. Here's how you can get it.
PEAK Participation Badge/Achievement
The Participation badge is actually pretty easy to get once you know how it works. All you need to do is be dead when your team reaches the summit. As long as you are in the ghost form and your squad completes the climb, you’ll unlock the badge. It's probably the only achievement you get for dying.
Just make sure you are actually in ghost form when your friends reach the summit. If you are just left behind somewhere on the mountain, it won’t count. That means you have to die first. Since it’s a team-based badge, you can’t unlock it in solo mode. So if you’ve been climbing solo, you will need to team up.
If you don’t have a team yet, check out our PEAK Discord server guide.
Having said that, it can be pretty tough for your teammates to finish the climb if you die too early and leave them to do it all alone. A better idea is to stick with them through the tricky parts, help out as much as you can, and then, right before you all reach the top, take a dive off a cliff. That way, they get an easier win, and you get credit for the Participation achievement. Everybody wins.
Reward for Completing Participation Achievement in PEAK
Like the other badges in PEAK, the Participation Badge is not only for showing off. Scouts will get a cool reward for it, too. Once you complete it, you’ll unlock the Castaway outfit. While you are going for this badge, you can try knocking out a few other badges as well, like Bouldering (use 10 Pitons) or Bookworm (find 8 journal entries) during the same run.
