How to Get Anti-Rope Cannon in PEAK

The Anti-Rope Cannon is a rare gear item in PEAK that you won't find in just any luggage case lying around the island. Rather, finding one takes thorough exploration during your climb, along with a substantial amount of luck.

There are currently two ways to get your hands on an Anti-Rope Cannon (seen above), and you can make use of both methods in the same run.

Ancient Statue - You'll find an Ancient Statue at the summit of each level, near the marshmallow campfire. Use your interact button to 'open' the statue, and it'll reveal one special rare item for you to take on the journey ahead. The Anti-Rope Cannon has a chance to spawn in one of these.
Ancient Chest - These special chests are rare spawns, but they still have a chance to spawn as early as the Shore (odds are still better starting in the Tropics). Approach them carefully, as opening an Ancient Chest requires a sacrifice of health (hence the heart on top). They have a chance to contain rare and legendary items, including the Anti-Rope Cannon.

If you're determined to add an Anti-Rope Cannon to your backpack, remember that once you find an Ancient Chest on the current map, that chest will continuously respawn in the same exact spot until the map undergoes its daily server reset. Once the map updates, that chest location will change. However, Ancient Statues are always found at the summit at the end of each level, so you still have that guarantee.

How to Use Anti-Rope Cannon in PEAK

The Anti-Rope Cannon functions similarly to the regular Rope Cannon, but in the opposite fashion. Equip it and aim it at a cliff face that you find yourself unable to climb manually. Shoot to anchor it, and the rope will instead levitate upward rather than hang down. Use your interact button to 'grab' the rope and climb the levitating rope up to your destination.

Not only does it provide a lifesaving boost, but it also mitigates stamina drain while doing so. This is especially vital when you get to the more difficult levels in the game and have to deal with nearly impossible climbs. The Anti-Rope Cannon is an incredibly useful tool that you should save for moments when you truly need it, and combining it with other gear items like Pitons and/or Shelf Shrooms can be even more helpful.
