Payday 3 has revealed the official teaser trailer for its upcoming new heist. Officially titled Fear & Greed, Payday 3 players will soon be able to hit Wall Street, with the new heist asking players if it's time for some "insider trading." The action-packed teaser shows off the new heist in exciting, albeit brief, detail, while also giving Payday 3 players a glimpse at several new weapons.

Much like its predecessor, Payday 2, Payday 3 looks a lot different now than it first did at release. Officially launching on September 18, 2023, Payday 3 initially fell flat for many players, with the game facing a plethora of technical issues. Payday 3 was incredibly tricky to get working, with issues persisting multiple days after launch. Payday 3's approach to monetization also threw longtime fans for a loop. Several key features, notably a dedicated mode for solo play, were also missing on launch day, with the Payday 3 team working hard over the last several months to rectify these issues. Payday 3 has received a steady stream of content updates and overhauls recently, with the game set to release its newest heist this month.

Day traders are likely to get a kick out of Fear & Greed, as the teaser makes several references to the stock market. The iconic Payday gang can be seen blasting through the floors of a stock exchange as total mayhem and carnage ensues. The action culminates in a standoff on the roof of the heist building, where players will need to jump across shipping containers.

Payday 3 Reveals New Heist

The Fear & Greed heist appears to include several new weapons for the game, with Payday 3 already featuring an extensive list of guns and other items. During the brief look at the new heist, the Payday gang can be seen using a minigun and a new heavy shotgun, as well as a Desert Eagle and what appears to be a new SMG or rifle.

Fear & Greed is one part of Payday 3's anniversary update, which is split into two sections. The Fear & Greed heist releases on September 16 and is paid DLC, with several additional pieces of content, like a new overkill weapon, a new heister pack, and new masks being given out for free. Part two of Payday 3's anniversary update launches in October and also includes both paid and free content. Kicking things off is the release of a new Year 1 edition of Payday 3, with the update also including various quality-of-life improvements, like the highly-requested server browser feature. Part two of Payday 3's anniversary update will also bring a major overhaul to the game's UI.
