Your build in Path of Exile 2 is determined by all sorts of little factors that will add up greatly as you progress through the game. While there are many passive skills to unlock and respec, gear will be just as important for not only the base stats of your character but also additional bonuses.
Every piece of gear you find in the game will have a different rarity, either gray, blue, yellow, or orange. While gray gear is basic and just has the base stats that would normally be found on a gear piece, each tier higher will give an additional magical bonuses, that can even be rerolled if you want.

How To Reroll Gear In Path of Exile 2
Rerolling gear can be done by using a 
Chaos Orb on a piece of gear that is rare, indicated by the yellow overlay when looking at the stats of the gear. While a Chaos Orb is used to reroll, it's important to know that the bonus chosen and the following result will be random. Any of the available bonuses can be switched out, and once they are gone, using another Chaos Orb will simply choose any of the available bonuses again at random.
This can make Chaos Orbs incredibly risky to use on your favorite gear, as there's a chance the better bonuses will be the ones switched off. That being said, while some bonuses such as resistances are better than others, about any bonus on a rare gear piece makes it more useful than anything of lower rarity. While rerolling with only one Chaos Orb is risky, once you get later in the game and find many, you can experiment more with the gear you find.
All gear can be upgraded to become rare if it's a lower tier.

There are a few ailments that players can use or have used on them in Path of Exile 2; here's what each one does.
How To Find Chaos Orbs In Path of Exile 2
Chaos Orbs are a bit rarer than most other crafting materials and will start being found throughout Act 2 of the game. As you progress to Act 3, they will become more common, so your best bet is to focus on the main story and get further. Whenever you need to find them, be sure to reset Instances each time you visit and prioritize the following things:
- Finding mini-bosses
- Opening chests
- Killing blue or yellow-named enemies.
While there is no sure way to farm Chaos Orbs, focusing on killing powerful enemies will at least increase your chances over time in later acts.
