Path of Exile 2 features one of the most impressive skill trees of all the representatives of its genre, and most of the skills actually affect one's playstyle, not just increase the numbers. However, to fully unleash the potential of your Ascendancy path, you will need special points known as Ascendancy Points.
Ascendancy classes significantly expand your combat abilities. However, to get the necessary points for their level up, you have to beat the game several times. For those willing to make the dive, here's how to get Ascendancy Points in Path of Exile 2.

Here's all you need to know about Jamanra, The Abomination boss in Path Of Exile 2, including how to reach and beat this tough enemy.
Path of Exile 2: Ascendancy, Explained
As you travel through the land of Wraeclast, you will fight hundreds of different enemies, whose deaths will help you learn new skills and enhance your build. However, the 7 base classes are far from the limit of what Path of Exile 2 can offer, as each of them has two Ascendancy paths.
Ascendancy allows you to get a more unique playstyle. For example, Witch players can choose paths such as Blood Mage or Infernalist. Below is a list of all subclasses in Path of Exile 2 that players can try out:
- Warrior - Titan or Warbringer
- Mercenary - Gemling Legionnaire or Witchhunter
- Witch - Blood Mage or Infernalist
- Sorceress - Chronomancer or Stormweaver
- Monk - Invoker or Acolyte of Chayula
- Ranger - Pathfinder or Deadeye
- Huntress - Amazon or Ritualist
If you choose the Ascendancy path, you will want to max it out, but special Ascendancy Points are required to level up. The first two Points are earned by clearing the Trial of Sekhemas. This is a dungeon where you will find many enemies and a boss in the last room, but to get the best rewards, you need to save as much Honor as possible. This bar decreases when you take any damage during the Trial.

How to Get More Ascendancy Points in Path of Exile 2
Ascendancy Points in Path of Exile 2 are only obtained after completing Ascendancy Trials. At the time of early access, there are only two such Trials available in the game, namely Trial of Sekhemas and Trial of Chaos in Act 2 and Act 3, respectively.
It is worth noting that the desired Points are dropped only after the first successful clearing of these dungeons. As such, if you visit them again, you will only be able to farm gear and EXP, but this does not mean that the Ascendancy Points limit is 4. In fact, players can get a total of 8 Ascendancy Points for their subclasses.
To get another 4 Ascendancy Points in Path of Exile 2, you need to beat the game and start a new game on Cruel difficulty. Your stats and skills will be saved, and the enemies will become much stronger. Next, you must complete the Ascendancy Trials again to level up your character.
