Coins usually aren't difficult to come by in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, but as you near the later Chapters of the game, you may want to increase the Coin-drop of your enemies. Ultra items such as Jammin' Jelly and Ultra Mushroom have some of the best HP/FP-restoring abilities in Thousand-Year Door, and they aren't priced cheap. You can increase Coin-drop by using a Fortune from Merlee, or you can equip Mario with multiple copies of the Money Money badge.

There are two ways of getting the Money Money badge in the Thousand-Year Door remake. The first one is to buy it from Pianta Parlor for 450 Pianta Tokens. The second method is to ace the Creepy Steeple Boo's 6th Trivia Quiz. It also has a very low chance of being dropped from Bombshell Bill Blasters (Palace of Shadows), Bill Blasters (Pirate's Grotto), and Dark Boos (Poshley Sanctum).

Pianta Parlor

You can win Pianta Tokens by playing the Slot Machines or the Membership Card games (i.e: Plane Game, Tube Game, etc) and exchange these for prizes at the counter. However, you'll need the Platinum Membership Card to unlock the Money Money badge. The only way to get the Platinum Membership Card is to complete the "I need my magazine." Trouble, which you can grab at the Trouble Center after completing Chapter 6. Once you accept the Trouble, speak to Toodles' in Poshley Heights, then go to Glitzvale to retrieve the fashion magazine from Jolene, who can be found in Grubba's old office. Returning this to Toodles will reward you with a Platinum Membership Card.

Earning Pianta Tokens can be time-consuming, but if you have all membership cards, you can play a variety of games to win those Tokens. Another alternative is to purchase Pianta Tokens from the Pianta Parlor Machine using Coins. Reminder: The Money Money badge is 450 Pianta Tokens.

Creepy Steeple Boo (Remake Only)

After you've freed the Boos from the box on the lower floors of Creepy Steeple, you can use Tube Mode to roll under the wall in the Steeple's first room to access a Hidden Room. Here, you can obtain the Cookbook key item from a chest, but there's also a Boo. Speak to him, and you can answer Trivia Questions to earn rewards. Each quiz unlocks after completing a story chapter. The 6th Quiz reward is the Money Money badge, so you'll need to have completed Chapter 8 and passed all previous quizzes.

For the 6th Quiz, the Boo will ask you 15 questions. You need to answer all of them correctly to get the badge:
