A Palworld player made an unexpected catch and got a Black Marketeer while AFK. Palworld's biggest draw is catching the various creatures known as Pals. But unlike other monster-collecting games, Palworld allows players to capture the humans who inhabit the Palpagos Islands. In theory, players can catch any Palworld NPC, but they are useful only for work on crafting benches, being too weak to fight in battles.
Despite this limitation, certain Palworld humans are very useful when caught, such as the Back Marketeer. This NPC of sinister appearance and smile appears on the Palworld's map in specific locations such as Eastern Wild Island, Windswept Hills, and Astral Mountains. The Black Marketeer is responsible for Pal contraband, selling rare monsters players can't find with other merchants, such as Warsect and Petallia. But the Black Marketeer also allows players to sell captured Pals for resources. The Black Marketeer is an asset of great importance to Palworld players, and one lucky player shared what it was like to encounter this NPC, resulting in an out-of-the-blue moment.
Reddit user Constant_Addition_98 captured a Black Marketeer by accident while AFK. In the clip shared by the player, they show their player idling in their base, while Lamball, Sparkit, and Fuack walk around. At this moment, a Black Marketeer appears in the picture, walking between the player's Pals. Because of a misclick, the Palworld player throws a Pal Sphere by accident, which bounces off a few places, until it finally lands on the Black Marketeer and successfully gets it.
Palworld Player Makes Unexpected Capture and Leaves Community in Awe
While it's possible to catch the Black Marketeer and use the NPC to make gameplay a little easier, the mission isn't easy. Palworld players only have an 8% chance of capturing this NPC. Another detail that makes the moment even more impressive is that the Palworld player captured a Black Marketeer with just a regular Pal Sphere, instead of using a more powerful Pal Sphere. Once the Palworld player catches a Black Marketeer, it occupies a slot in the Palbox just like Pals do, and can be placed in the base to interact with the other Pals.
Palworld has won players' hearts because of the different gameplay elements that one wouldn't expect to see together. Some Pals can use weapons, Pal and human contraband is a thing, and it's possible to butcher Pals to get the resources they drop when they die. With this wild mix, Palworld has provided players with funny and unpredictable moments, resulting in many stories for the community to tell.
