Palworld: How to Catch & Breed Maraith

In Palworld, there is a large collection of different creatures to discover and obtain, with over one hundred varying Pal species known to roam the islands. These Pals can be captured to become valuable members of your team for both combat or exploration or assigned to your Base to assist with tasks and gathering resources to upgrade your facilities.

One of these beings that can be found roaming the world is Maraith, a spooky Dark Type Pal that can also operate as a Pal Mount to assist you in exploring the islands and progressing your player level. Players wanting to pick up this Pal for their team, or hoping to complete their Paldeck will need to know how to acquire it, either through wild capture or Eggs generated by the Breeding Farm facility.

Where to Find & Catch Maraith in Palworld

To encounter Maraith in the wild, Players will need to search across the Northern island located on the world map. This island is known for its snowy biomes and will contain more high-level Pals. For this reason, it's usually a good idea to wait until you reach around player level 40 so that you're not caught out by the threat of wild battles and find a struggle against obtaining Maraith. If you are too low-leveled to hunt through this area properly, then it's best to attempt to obtain Maraith through the Breeding Farm method instead.

Maraith can also only be encountered in the wild during nighttime, meaning you'll need to restrict your hunt to these in-game hours. If you need some extra assistance with the exact locations to search for this Pal, then you can refer to the world map screenshot below, where Maraith's habitat has been indicated with blue highlights.

How to Breed Maraith in Palworld

The first step to obtaining Maraith through the Breeding Farm method is to unlock and build all required facilities. In order to breed Pals and hatch Eggs, you will need the Breeding Farn, Egg Incubator, and Cooking Pot. These can all be unlocked through the Technology Points menu as you progress your player level. After unlocking these items, you will then need to gather the required resources to build these items:

Breeding Farm: 100x Wood, 20x Stone, 50x Fiber.
Cooking Pot: 20x Wood, 15x Ingot, 3x Flame Organ.
Egg Incubator: 10x Paldium Fragment, five Cloth, 30x Stone, two Ancient Civilization Parts.

After building these facilities, you will now need to cook some Cake at the Cooking Pot with help of a Kindling Pal, as this is a requirement for breeding. Once you have your Cake, you will need to drop it into the wooden crate attached to the Breeding Farm. For each piece of Cake that is placed in the wooden crate, an eligible pair of Pals will be able to generate one Egg.

Lastly, you will need to pair two compatible Pals together, ensuring that one of them is male, and the other female. When it comes to breeding Maraith, you can select any of the Pal combinations listed below, which will eventually generate an Egg. Once you have this Egg, you will need to place it in an Incubator, where it will eventually hatch into Maraith once incubation is complete.

Foxsparks + Melpaca
Eikthyrdeer + Jolthog
Direhowl + Gumoss
Rushoar + Rooby
Melpaca + Sparkit
Jolthog + Caprity

Lastly, once you have hatched your Maraith, you may also want to invest in crafting a Maraith Saddle, as this Pal Gear item will enable you to ride around on Maraith's back, making exploration and combat much more entertaining. The Maraith Saddle crafting recipe can be purchased from the Technology Points manu, and then crafted at a Pal Gear bench by expending certain resources.
