The island of Feybreak in Palworld comes with the game's biggest update since its astonishingly successful launch in January 2024, much to the delight of players who have stuck by Pocketpair's creature-catching underdog IP since then. Not only is Feybreak geographically massive compared to its Sakurajima predecessor, but it's practically overflowing with new items for players to find and use to boost their Pal adventurers and their creative bases.
One such new item that you'll likely stumble across early in your exploration of Palworld's Feybreak is Hexolite Quartz. This incredibly shiny mineral is one of the key resources you'll need to craft the game's newest technology, particularly weapons and armor. However, depending on where you first land on the island, you'll still need to know where to look.
Palworld Releases Huge New Feybreak Update
Palworld releases the eagerly awaited Feybreak update, which adds a lot of new content to the survival game, including items, an island, and more.
How To Get Hexolite Quartz In Palworld
Exploring Palworld's Feybreak for new resources can feel a little overwhelming at first, especially since some items are hidden deeper within its caverns and other areas full of high-level Pals. However, Hexolite Quartz will likely be one of the first items you come across on the island thanks in large part to its overt shininess and being placed well out in the open. It's far easier to collect to compared to other items in the game such as Crude Oil.
Hexolite Quartz is a holographic-colored mineral that is found nestled in large, towering nodes like the ones featured in the above image. The nodes themselves are often extremely easy to spot anywhere, whether you're exploring during the day or at night, even if they're far away on the horizon. They're spread in great numbers around the entire island, often around grasslands and beach areas. Like other resources in the game, the nodes will respawn after a certain period of time, so you don't ever need to worry about running out of places to find them.
Similar to other mineral nodes in Palworld such as Ore and Charcoal, you will need a sufficient Pickaxe tool to excavate Hexolite Quartz from these nodes. A top-of-the-line Pal Metal Pickaxe works wonders, but a Refined Metal Pickaxe can also do the job well.
Make sure your Pickaxe of choice is repaired before you set out to gather from multiple nodes. Also have your best Plasteel Armor equipped to help deal with attacks from local Pals wandering nearby.
One entire Hexolite Quartz node will give you up to 80 pieces of Hexolite Quartz, meaning that you won't need to explore too far to get a hefty amount of this shiny material. Individual pieces of Hexolite Quartz can also be found lying on the ground around the island, and these are easy to spot if you're traveling on foot.
Be sure to keep an eye on your carrying capacity while collecting these and other items, as Hexolite weights 2.0 per piece, and one full node will weigh 374.0!
Also, while certain other resources in Palworld can be found across various areas of Palpagos, bear in mind that Hexolite Quartz is found exclusively on the island of Feybreak, which is southwest of Mount Obsidian. While exploring, it's advised to establish as many new fast travel points on the island as soon as possible to make navigation easier — especially while dealing with the anti-aircraft bases that prohibit flying until they're destroyed. Be sure to also explore all of the dungeons around Feybreak for precious crafting items like Hexolite Quartz.
