Palia has a lot of NPCs to discover, befriend, and even fall in love with. Players of this MMO life simulation game can date one of the many romanceable NPCs, including an outsider named Hassia. He is a hunter, and he is a challenging NPC to get close to. While he is usually reserved, quiet, and difficult to even chat with, he can be romanced. The second part of his romance is probably the hardest of them all; it's a quest called Proper Courtship, and it involves doing some research.

After connecting with Hassian romantically in Palia, players will be able to start his second romance quest chain. It can be a little confusing, so here is the progression of the quests and what to do with each step. First, Hassian will ask the player to "meet him under the stars," stating that the player will know where to find him. In order to romance this aloof NPC, players will need to spend a lot of time tracking him down, so they should know where to find him at night: in his grove. Check there between 10 PM and 3 AM.

He will ask the Palia player's forgiveness for being cold, then he promises to do something to help make up for it. Once this section of the quest chain changes from See What Hassian Will Do Next to Talk to Hassian in His Grove, the player will realize he's acting very strangely, and they will need to start asking around to see what is up with his behavior.

Find Someone Who Knows What's Going on With Hassian in Palia

There are several NPCs that can help out here; the first person to speak with would be Sifuu, Hassian's parent. Players should also speak to Chayne, who will direct them toward the library where they can find books on proper Majiri courtship rituals. Since Hassian is a huge fan of mushy romance novels, he's hoping that the player will figure out how to court him on his own, sappy, traditional Majiri terms.

Head to the library and look for the book; it should be on the table immediately inside the library to the right. Read the book, and it will describe what Hassian is up to. If the player wants to romance Hassian further, the book declares they will need to gift Hassian a Midnight Lily, which is a flower that grows in only one spot in the area: on top of the Leafhopper Hills. It only blooms between 10PM and 2AM, so players will have to pick it at that time. Bring the flower back to Hassian immediately. This will bring players to the next romance level with Hassian and will give them the next part of this quest chain: Written in the Stars.
