Learning to make macarons in Palia has a few quest prerequisites that players should know before starting, including level 3 cooking level and at least 2 mixing stations in their house. However, once players have these things and know where to look, it's a fun quest, especially for players who enjoy cooking up sweet treats and other dishes, as well as unlocking more recipes.
How to Get the Macaron Recipe in Palia (The Great Human Bake-Off Quest)
To get the macaron recipe in Palia, players must activate a quest called The Great Human Bake-Off by locating an object called 'A Very Old...grocery list?'. Head to the path just south of the Flooded Steps in Bahari Bay to find and collect the grocery list in a pile of dirt. Pick up the grocery list to begin the Great Human Bake-Off quest, which first involves deciphering the grocery list.
The quest instructs players to speak to NPCs in Kilima Village to learn more about the ancient document. They'll tell players to try talking with Hekla, who tells players it's a human recipe for macarons. At Hekla's suggestion, it's time to try making macarons, as players must gather all the necessary ingredients to unlock the macaron recipe.
Where to Get Macaron Recipe Ingredients in Palia
The ingredients for macarons are one Egg, one Milk, one packet of Flour, and one Sweet Leaf. Fortunately, it's possible to purchase most macaron ingredients from Zeki's shop in central Kilima Village for the following prices after making money in Palia:
- Flour - 10 gold
- Egg - 24 gold
- Milk - 60 gold
Players can find Sweet Leaf growing in the wild close to the Outskirts and Thorny Thicket areas of Bahari Bay. Once players collect all the ingredients, they unlock the macaron recipe.
How to Make Macarons in Palia
To make macarons in Palia, use the first mixing station to select and begin the recipe by stirring the ingredients. Players should then use the second mixing station to mix again, successfully completing making macarons.
Macarons are a pretty easy recipe to make in Palia, taking only 1 minute to make, providing players possess all the necessary tools and ingredients. Making macarons also helps increase players' overall cooking experience and restores 225 Focus Points. After making macarons, inform Hekla to complete The Great Human Bake-off quest and receive 10+ Renown as a reward.
