In the days leading up to Overwatch's annual seasonal event known as Halloween Terror 2018, Blizzard Entertainment gave fans a look at several of the fresh skins on the way for the game, including outfits for Doomfist, Moira, Pharah, and Wrecking Ball. Now, in order to celebrate Halloween Terror 2018 going live today, the publisher and developer has decided to provide players with a brand new trailer detailing some of the contents of the event.
As seen below in Overwatch's Halloween Terror 2018 trailer, not only are the aforementioned skins being added into the game, but also the likes of Soldier: 76 and Sombra will get their own ghoulish outfits as well. Instead of sticking to their standard garb, players have the chance to acquire the former's Friday the 13th-inspired skin, and the latter's Bride of Frankenstein-styled costume.
In addition to Overwatch's inclusion of fresh seasonal skins for Halloween Terror 2018, players should also expect to see the return of the team-based shooter's fan-favorite Junkenstein’s Revenge PvE mode. What's more is that Blizzard has ensured all of the game’s collection of Halloween content that’s been released during past years are going to be included in the Halloween Terror 2018 celebration for those who missed out on it the last time it was available.
All things considered, it will be interesting to see just how many fans flock to Overwatch in order to take part in Halloween Terror 2018, as the release schedule for October 2018 has several other major events taking place in different titles. For instance, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 comes out later this week, while the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 goes on sale a little before the end of the month, with both releases likely set to impact player engagement with Overwatch's Halloween Terror 2018 event.
Overwatch is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
