A new leak from Overwatch 2 may have just revealed the full kit for Wuyang, the support hero coming in Season 18, as well as his character model. Though the final version might look different from this, there is a good chance this Wuyang leak in Overwatch 2 is the real deal.

During the Overwatch 2 Spotlight event, Blizzard revealed Wuyang, then known under the codename “Aqua,” would be a new water-based support hero in Season 18. Recently, a leak from a reliable source identified Wuyang’s Perks in Overwatch 2, potentially giving players a good idea as to the hero's might play.

Overwatch 2 Dating Sim Comes With a Big Catch

Overwatch 2 recently released a new dating sim featuring several heroes of Future Earth, but there's a pretty big catch fans should be aware of.

Now, a second leak has filled in the gaps from the first one, painting a clearer picture of what to potentially expect from this hero. An Overwatch 2 redditor recently claimed to have had the full kit for Wuyang, in addition to his character model, leaked in an official Blizzard survey. Though the post and account were quickly deleted, other Overwatch 2 fans saved the images of Wuyang’s kit and his model in separate Reddit posts, archiving this information for others to consider.

Full Wuyang Kit Leaked from Overwatch 2

According to this leak, Wuyang’s primary weapon consists of the Xuanwu Staff, which allows him to fire orbs that can be controlled, and Restorative Stream, a passive heal that can be actively held to intensify its effects – seemingly a cross of skills from fellow Overwatch 2 supports Zenyatta and Mercy. He also has two abilities: Guardian Wave, a blast that increases the healing of impacted allies while damaging and knocking back enemies, and Rushing Torrent, granting Wuyang the ability to ride waves to increase his speed and jump height. His ultimate is Tidal Blast, which protects himself or a single ally with water that explodes after a short duration, healing the target and knocking down nearby enemies, like a mix between Ana's and Reinhardt's ultimate. His Perks are identical to the ones from the previous leak.

All Leaked Wuyang Abilities and Perks in Overwatch 2

  • Weapon
    • Xuanwu Staff: Fire a damaging water orb. Hold to control its trajectory and empower its explosion.
    • Restorative Stream: Place a passive healing stream on an ally. Hold on the target to manually heal at an improved rate, consuming resource.
  • Abilities
    • Guardian Wave: Send a water wave forward that increases the amount of healing received by allies and knocks back enemies.
    • Rushing Torrent: Ride water to move faster and jump higher.
  • Ultimate
    • Tidal Blast: Protect an ally or yourself with water that detonates after a short duration. The explosion knocks down enemies and massively heals the blast target.
  • Perks
    • Minor
      • Overflow: Gain 10 ammo and 33% healing resource when Rushing Torrent is activated.
      • Balance: When you deal damage with water orbs, increase Restorative Stream's passive healing by 40% for 2 seconds.
    • Major
      • Ebb and Flow: Guardian Wave rewinds to its starting location. Deals 50% decreased damage while rewinding.
      • Falling Rain: Simultaneously control 3 water orbs that deal 60% decreased damage and have 25% decreased empowered explosion radius.

It is important to note that this leak could still be false. A creative fan could have reverse-engineered this kit from the Overwatch 2 Wuyang Perk leak to make it seem realistic – and if it is real, any number of the abilities could change before it is revealed. That said, between the convincing UI image featuring Overwatch 2-style graphics and icons, and the detailed character model, there is a pretty good shot that this leak is legitimate.

Either way, players won’t have to wait long to find out if it is real. Wuyang’s hero trial in Overwatch 2 starts August 14 – three weeks from press time – meaning fans can expect an official reveal shortly before then.
