What Signatures Are & How to Get Them in Overwatch 2

In Overwatch 2 Season 12, Signatures are being introduced through a brand new Competitive Play event called Drives. The first Overwatch 2 Drive will begin near the end of Season 12, and take place over a single weekend. During this period, you will have the opportunity to earn new rewards for each match of Competitive Play that you complete.

Winning a match will provide you with Drive Score, which you use to progress to the next Checkpoint. Behind each Checkpoint is a reward, which can range from bundles of Competitive Points, as well as brand-new Signatures. Signatures are a visual collectible that players can use to decorate their Battletag in-game.

When a Signature is equipped, players will be able to see this on their Battletag displayed on the bottom left-hand corner of the screen during matches, as well as on the intro to any play of the game or highlight reels. It seems that the Signatures may follow a progression system through design as well, with more color and detail being added to the Signature styles with the more Checkpoints you reach during a Drive. When obtaining Signatures, it seems that players will be able to make use of them until the next Drive event, which could mean that they are limited-time items, such as the Competitive Rank Titles, but this hasn't been confirmed. In addition to this, it has also not yet been specified how many different Signatures will be obtainable during a Drive event, and if they will be customizable in any way - such as color choice. Until further notice, players will just have to await the first Drive event in Overwatch 2 Season 12 to find out.
