Overwatch 2 is offering PlayStation Plus subscribers a free bundle which includes a holiday-themed skin for one of the game's more popular support heroes. This month, PS Plus subscribers are being treated to three games to download for free in Mafia 2: Definitive Edition, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, and Dragon Ball: The Breakers.
Blizzard's popular multiplayer hero FPS Overwatch 2 has just recently had a field day at BlizzCon 2023, revealing a ton of new content set to come to the game soon. Mauga, the next Overwatch 2 Tank headlining Season 8 next month, received a full reveal and was even made available for all players to try out in-game over the weekend. Two other future heroes were teased, a new DPS hero named Venture and a support hero codenamed Space Ranger, both coming in 2024. Blizzard also announced a new full-time game mode called Clash, as well as the first Clash map, Hanaoka, which is based on the old Hanamura assault map from the original Overwatch.
With the holiday season knocking on the door, Overwatch 2 has partnered with PS Plus to provide subscribers with a free bundle to claim. On Twitter, Overwatch Calvary brought attention to the pack, which includes Zenyatta's Toybot skin along with five Battle Pass tier skips. This holiday-themed Zenyatta skin isn't new, as it was first introduced as part of Overwatch's Winter Wonderland event back in 2020. The skin evokes a childlike holiday spirit with a blue plastic coating, an old school digital computer face, and colorful toy puzzle orbs.
With the five Battle Pass tier skips being included, PS Plus subscribers would need to buy the current Overwatch 2 battle pass in order to take full advantage of the bundle. Even though the Zenyatta Toybot skin is being offered for free, in a way, Overwatch is incentivizing Battle Pass purchases with this bundle giveaway. Since Season 7 is about halfway through and the Battle Pass mostly contains Halloween-themed cosmetics, it hardly seems worthwhile for PS Plus users to buy the Battle Pass this late in the season. Some Xbox players under the post voiced their frustration with the skin not yet being available to purchase on Xbox, however, the skin will most likely make an appearance in the in-game shop on all platforms as the holiday season approaches.

The Halloween-themed Season 7 is coming up on its home stretch as fans get ready for the full launch of Mauga, the dual-chaingun wielding Samoan Tank who is set to land next month. Fans should also expect the return of Overwatch's annual Winter Wonderland event, which may look to introduce new holiday skins for some of the game's newer heroes, like Ramattra, Lifeweaver, or Illari.
