An Overwatch 2 player published a clip from their Capture the Flag match showing their teammate Orisa pulling off a brilliant strategy to win the round. Capture the Flag is one of the non-competitive modes available in Overwatch 2 where players need to capture their opponents’ flag and bring it back to their camp without getting caught.

Overwatch 2 features a variety of non-competitive game modes for players who do not want to participate in ranked matches. These game modes change the rules of the traditional Overwatch 2 matches, with various team sizes and unique maps to offer a different experience for players. Most of these modes change daily and serve as a warmup for players before competitive games or simply as a way to have fun with friends with no pressure. The Overwatch 2 Lunar Year 2023 event brought two Capture the Flag game modes that will last until the end of the event: a classic version of the Capture the Flag mode and a fast-paced Blitz version.

As they were playing a match of Capture the Flag, an Overwatch 2 player known as MOCbKA on Reddit shared a clip from their match to highlight an incredible play performed by their teammate Orisa. As MOCbKA, playing Overwatch 2 tank hero Doomfist, came to capture the flag, their ally Orisa used her Terra Surge ultimate ability to pull four of their enemies and make them fall with her through the hole in the middle of the Oasis University central fighting spot. This brilliant strategy removed most enemies from the fight, leaving a single Lucio to defend the flag against Doomfist. The tank hero grabbed the flag and brought it back to their safe spot, scoring a point thanks to this incredible Orisa play.

In the comments, Overwatch 2 players shared their experiences trying to pull off the same game-breaking move as the Orisa from this clip. Most of them weren’t able to grab their enemies while doing so, resulting in them falling alone — sometimes to their death — when they tried to do this strategy on the Ilios Well map. Some mentioned how this method could also work in Overwatch 2 competitive games, despite the high risk of dying alone and wasting an ultimate ability.

Capture the Flag is available through the Overwatch 2 New Lunar Year 2023 event, which will end on February 6. The PvE mode of Overwatch 2 is yet to be announced, but Blizzard could share more information about the future of its FPS during Blizzcon 2023, as the event is coming back after a three-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Overwatch 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
