Overwatch 2 has revealed a new crossover with My Hero Academia, which will add five new skins to the game. Overwatch 2's list of collaborations continues to grow and already includes some important names from Japanese pop culture.
The first Overwatch 2 crossover took place last year and featured One-Punch Man skins. The manga follows the adventures of Saitama, a hero strong enough to defeat his enemies with a single punch. At the time, players saw Doomfist turn into Saitama, while Genji paid homage to the cyborg Genos, with Kiriko as Terrible Tornado, and Soldier 76 as the beloved Mumen Rider. In March, Blizzard's shooter collaborated with Cowboy Bebop, an anime that follows a group of space bounty hunters, with Ashe turning into Faye Valentine, Cassidy into Spike Spiegel, Mauga into Jet Black, and Sombra into Ed.
Now, Overwatch 2 is crossing over with My Hero Academia. Five Legendary skins will be up for grabs between October 17-30, with Tracer as the protagonist Deku, Reinhardt as All Might, and Juno as Uraraka. The bad guys are also represented, with Reaper getting a skin based on Tomura Shigaraki, the leader of the League of Villains, and Kiriko getting another cosmetic, this time as Himiko Toga, one of the main antagonists of Kohei Horikoshi's work.

In addition to revealing the outfits, Blizzard notes that the chance to collect the My Hero Academia skins will be through a mega bundle that will be available in the in-game shop. This bundle will come with the five Legendary skins along with additional cosmetics, although the announcement did not give details of what they will be. The collaboration also includes five Overwatch 2 sprays and a weapon charm that players will be able to get for free.
The crossover with My Hero Academia expands the already significant list of skins released in Overwatch 2 Season 12, which includes outfits with different themes, such as Egyptian mythology. On social media, players shared ideas of characters that could have been given skins from the new collaboration, suggesting Red Riot cosmetics for Venture, Frog Girl for Lucio, Bakugo for Junkrat, and a My Hero Academia skin for Soujorn. The community also expressed their joy at seeing Juno, after much anticipation, get her first skin and one based on a beloved character.
