Overcooked 2 fans on PC have been able to play the Suns Out, Buns Out DLC since July 5, but console gamers have so far been missing out. Now Ghost Town Games has confirmed exactly when Overcooked 2 fans on consoles can expect to get their hands on the new DLC.
As announced by Ghost Town Games on Twitter, the new Overcooked 2 Suns Out, Buns Out DLC will be available for PS4, Switch, and Xbox One beginning July 16. Better yet, the Suns Out, Buns Out DLC will be free, meaning Overcooked 2 fans can try out the new levels, experience the new gameplay features, and more without spending any extra money.
This is far from the first time that Ghost Town Games has released free Overcooked 2 DLC, of course. For example, it released the Spring Festival Update earlier this year, giving couch co-op gamers even more challenging levels to complete.
Looking ahead, it will be interesting to see if Ghost Town Games releases any more DLC for Overcooked 2, and if any additional paid expansion packs will be part of the equation or not. With next-generation consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X on the horizon, perhaps the developers will pursue an Overcooked 3 game instead.
Overcooked 2 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
