The Outlast Trials Has Been Banned in 1 Region

Now that The Outlast Trials has officially launched after early access, the survival horror game is already banned in one region.

Franco "Il Bambino" Barbi is being released into The Outlast Trials to wreak havoc on players. Wielding an obsession with pregnancy, birth, and what comes after, he can be seen in the teaser smashing in the heads of those who cross him. His weapon may be a nail-studded bat, but he also appears to perform experiments on pregnant women and their fetuses. His nickname indicates any gameplay involving him as a villain may revolve around these themes.

Killer Franco "Il Bambino" Barbi Brings His Twisted Vision to The Outlast Trials

With a new killer comes a new map for him to rule over. Akin to a factory or hospital facility, not much was highlighted about the new location. Players can encounter medical tables with bodies and some sort of birthing area. There seems to be a staging area where Il Bambino can hang bodies, but nothing concrete was revealed in the trailer. The area may have been explored in The Outlast Trials' previous trials, or is completely new.

The end of the video announces more details will be shared on July 11. These can possibly include what weapon Il Bambino uses, an image of the new map, or possible new Trials connected to the character. How Il Bambino and the location connect to current Outlast Trials lore may also be revealed.

While The Outlast Trials is known for having a creepy female antagonist, introducing a child-like killer adds another layer of horror for players to experience. How Franco acts in game, his mannerisms, and additional dialogue remains to be revealed. However, he brings a main horror trope, that of a large, vicious man with an infant's mindset, to the title.
