This post contains spoilers for One Punch Man.
Solo Leveling Season 2 was absolutely phenomenal in terms of action. The studio did a fantastic job of animating the web novel and gave an adaptation that they would remember for years to come. The anime featured exquisite fighting scenes, which earned A-1 Pictures a ton of praise.
Following the season's conclusion, fans were immediately drawn into debates about other anime titles, especially those that could fill the void. One of the biggest contenders is Yusuke Murata and ONE's One Punch Man.

One Punch Man released its first-ever season in 2012, and it shook the world. Anime fans had never seen a series with such intense action scenes. The news about One Punch Man spread like wildfire. Even non-anime watchers came to learn about it via word of mouth. After such an immense first season, fans were desperate to learn more about the next season. Most people believed that the second season would be released in the next couple of years, but they couldn't have been more wrong.
One Punch Man Season 2 aired in 2019— seven whole years after the initial season. While waiting for the anime was certainly a problem, fans were happy that they would get to enjoy another high-quality adaptation. However, that wasn't the case.
OPM Season 2 was animated by J.C. Staff; the first was done by Madhouse. The latter has a reputation for producing outstanding adaptations, but J.C. Staff is different. The studio doesn't have a lot of hits under their belt, so it was definitely a challenge for them to produce the second season of One Punch Man. Unfortunately, J.C. Staff failed horribly to deliver a proper adaptation. Fans were outraged after watching the anime, and they criticized it all over social media. Despite the failure, J.C. Staff was put in charge of the next season.

The third season of One Punch Man is slated to release in October 2025. The new installment will cover the remainder of the Monster Association arc, meaning there is going to be plenty of action. Fans will also get to see Saitama clash with Garou. In the manga, the arc was entertaining and exceptionally well-drawn.
So, the pressure will be on J.C. Staff to deliver a much better adaptation. The way the studio botched the previous season puts extra pressure on them to deliver this time. If J.C. Staff pulls it off, then One Punch Man Season 3 could end up becoming the biggest hit of the year. In fact, it could potentially supplant Solo Leveling, One Piece, and Takopi's Original Sin. One Punch Man Season 3 will pose a massive threat to Solo Leveling because of the similarities between the two. Both are full of action and feature overpowered protagonists. However, fans have reason to doubt the studio's work.

As previously stated, One Punch Man Season 3 is scheduled to be released in October 2025, yet there is no proper trailer for the anime. The third season is just weeks away, so the lack of a new trailer is rather concerning. Since the studio hasn't released a trailer, fans are doubtful if the new season will be any better than the previous one. Considering the anime is so close to release, J.C. Staff should drop a new trailer, as it will put fans' minds at ease.
If the anime adaptation fails, then fans can read the manga, which is available on the Shonen Jump+ app and the official Viz Media website. The release schedule of the manga is erratic, mainly because ONE constantly redraws old arcs. In fact, fans have often complained about the author's decision to redo previous arcs.
