One Piece fans have already seen a ton of exciting information from this flashback, but the most recent reveal concerning a legendary pirate and his exploits has only pushed it to another level. For the very first time in the story, Oda has officially confirmed a pirate killing an Admiral of the Navy, and it was none other than Rocks D. Xebec.

Rocks D. Xebec Killed An Admiral Before His Prime Years

  • Rocks Was At The Reverie 56 Years Ago
  • Rocks Killed An Admiral And Earned A Bounty

Rocks D. Xebec is known to be one of One Piece's most intriguing characters. Fans know that he will most certainly be fleshed out more later on in the story, but for now, what is clear is that Rocks was a legendary pirate like no other against whom Garp and Roger had to join forces. Of course, neither Garp nor Roger was in their prime at the time. However, it is still quite remarkable that Rocks required these two to team up.

In One Piece chapter 1154, more Rocks lore was revealed by Oda, and fans found out that 56 years ago, Rocks D. Xebec was actually at the Reverie. This is rather strange, but suggests that he was a King of sorts. It is also possible that he invaded the Reverie, but the chances of that being the case are low. Regardless, what matters is that Rocks clashed with an Admiral there and went on to kill him before leaving.

The fact that Rocks came to the Reverie, killed an Admiral, and left intact means that killing an Admiral wasn't even hard for him. This earned Rocks his first bounty, and later on, the Rocks Pirates were born.

The Admirals Are Confirmed To Be Weaker Than The Yonko

The Admirals Cannot Compete With the Highest Grade Of Pirates

The Admirals are all very powerful and fans know that very well. In One Piece, Oda has established very well that the Admirals are strong and the military face of the World Government. But, they're not invincible, and they most certainly are not as strong as the Yonko. Rocks D. Xebec killing an Admiral and fleeing from a protected place such as Marijoa confirms that the top-tier pirates are stronger.

Similarly, Prime Whitebeard and Roger are also most definitely strong enough to kill an Admiral without much trouble. Shanks, as Oda has shown in the story, could beat any Admiral, and his ability to send shivers down Ryokugyu’s spine from miles away is testament to his strength.

No Admiral Can Ever Beat A Proper Yonko

Even Luffy, while toying with Kizaru during their unserious fight, was able to beat him and cast him aside. Undoubtedly, the Admirals are weaker compared to the Yonko. While the Admirals are strong, they definitely cannot beat the Yonko, other than Buggy. This has been clear in the story for a long time now, but some refuse to see it. Maybe Rocks killing one before he was even in his prime pirating years will open their eyes.

One Piece Chapter 1155 will be out this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday.
