In One Piece, the strongest pirates that sail the seas are known as the Yonko, or the Four Emperors of the Sea. It is said that the Yonko rule the New World like Kings and their might is such that even the Government chooses not to mess with them. Previously, the Yonko were made up of Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido, and Shanks. But since the timeskip, especially following the events that unfolded in Wano, that has changed, with Shanks being the only one left out of the old generation of Yonko. Now, the Yonko are made of Luffy, Blackbeard, Buggy, and Shanks.
While these pirates are strong, there are some people in Luffy’s generation, officially known as the Worst Generation, who have the potential to someday become a Yonko. As fans know, the Worst Generation of One Piece are pirates who arrived on Sabaody Archipelago at the same time with a bounty of over a hundred million berries (along with Blackbeard). Out of the Worst Generation members, Luffy and Blackbeard have already claimed the title of Yonko, but some other pirates also have the potential to rule as an Emperor.
4 Trafalgar Law
- Affiliation: Heart Pirates
- Devil Fruit: Ope Ope no Mi
- Haki Types: Observation, Armament
Trafalgar Law has become a fan favorite among One Piece fans, and it's easy to see why. Ever since his debut, Law has shown himself to be a very powerful fighter, and his affiliation with the Straw Hat Pirates has only helped him become more popular. Together with Luffy, Law went on to free Dressrosa by defeating Doflamingo. Law continued further with the Straw Hat Pirates in Wano, where he was a major assistance in the battle against Big Mom and Kaido. It was due to his effort, combined with that of Kid, that Big Mom was beaten.
Law has the power of the Ope Ope no Mi, which allows him to create ROOMs within which he can control everything. Law also has access to both Armament and Observation Haki. He could have the potential to unlock Conqueror's Haki, but that is to be seen.
Law’s Yonko Level Potential Feats
When it comes to strong Worst Generation members, Law is always in discussion. He is definitely a character with Yonko potential, and he has proven that multiple times in the series. In Wano, Law was the one to take on Big Mom. Of course, he had the help of Kid, but he still fought incredibly on his own. Law was able to tank many attacks from Big Mom’s overpowered Haki and brutally injured her impenetrable body with his Shock Wille and Puncture Wille. Law and Kid came out victorious from this battle and earned a Yonko-level bounty of 3 billion berries, the same as the current Yonko, Luffy. Law even held his own for some time against Yonko Blackbeard.
3 Eustass Kid
- Affiliation: Kid Pirates
- Devil Fruit: Jiki Jiki no Mi
- Haki Types: Observation, Armament, Conqueror's
Eustass Kid was a standout Worst Generation member who stood out from his debut. Kid would become relevant in the story of One Piece again in the Wano Arc. After being betrayed by other Worst Generation members, Eustass Kid chose to side with the Straw Hat Pirates in the raid on Onigashima. Given his determination and grit, Kid is another character with Yonko potential.
Kid has quite an interesting Devil Fruit, called the Jiki Jiki no Mi, which gives him magnetic powers. When awakened, he can even turn others into magnets. Beyond that, Kid is one of the rare users of Conqueror's Haki. That alone shows just how tremendous his potential is.
Kid’s Yonko Level Potential Feats
Kid is one of the strongest members of the Worst Generation, and he has shown that during the Onigashima Raid of One Piece. He fought on the rooftop alongside the other Worst Generation members in Luffy, Law, Killer, and Zoro. Kid stood out as a powerful fighter on par with all these fighters. Furthermore, Kid was also involved in battling against Yonko Big Mom. He fought alongside Law, but he stood out in his own way. Kid was able to land some major blows on Linlin with his Punk Gibson, and he even Punk Corna Dio.
His strongest attack, Damned Punk, is strong enough to wipe out a whole fleet and even push back against a Yonko. Just like Law and Luffy, Kid also received a Yonko-level bounty of 3 billion berries. Sadly, at the moment, Kid seems to be out of commission, but fans are certain that Oda will bring him back.
2 Jewelry Bonney
- Affiliation: Bonney Pirates (Formerly), Straw Hat Pirates
- Devil Fruit: Toshi Toshi No Mi
- Haki Types: Observation, Armament
Jewelry Bonney was definitely a character that fans underestimated. After all, when she was introduced in Sabaody, she didn't seem like the strongest out of the bunch, but that was definitely proven wrong. Jewelry Bonney, previously thought to be an adult, was recently revealed to be a 12-year-old girl.
Bonney has the power of the Toshi Toshi no Mi which allows her to turn into reality any future that she thinks is possible. Bonney can even modify her age, and that of others, among many other powers. She returned to the story in Egghead and played a major role there.
Bonney’s Yonko Potential Feats
Jewelry Bonney was definitely impressive on Egghead Island, where the likes of the Five Elders made their entrance. While Jewelry Bonney is still only 12, fans were shocked to see that she can already use Haki. Bonney has been confirmed to have access to Armament Haki, and most likely, she also has Observation Haki. To be this talented at such a young age is definitely an indicator of her Yonko level potential.
What makes Jewelry Bonney stand out from the rest is her Devil Fruit. This Devil Fruit might be one of the most overpowered of all time and it allows Bonny to basically copy the abilities of others by distorting her own future. With Distorted Future, Bonny was able to access the Yonko level ability of Gear 5.
1 Roronoa Zoro
- Affiliation: Straw Hat Pirates
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Haki Types: Observation, Armament, Conqueror's
Roronoa Zoro is another member of the Worst Generation and he is one of the strongest members of the Straw Hat Pirates. Zoro is the swordsman of the crew and is always ready for intense battles.
Unlike other overpowered Worst Generation members, Zoro does not have a Devil Fruit power. Instead, he relies on his swordsmanship and his Haki to fight. Of course, Zoro has access to all three types of Haki: Armament, Observation, and Conqueror's. However, he still has a long way to go when it comes to controlling them.
Zoro’s Yonko Level Potential Feats
Zoro is bound to someday reach the level of Yonko in One Piece. After all, he has huge parallels with Rayleigh, the right arm of Roger. As fans know, Rayleigh was comparable to Roger in power.
Beyond that, Zoro has already shown his insane potential when he stood with other fighters of the Worst Generation on the Onigashima rooftop to take on Yonko Kaido and Big Mom. While Zoro was not able to do any major damage, the fact that he could still stand up to these monsters was definitely impressive. Zoro then went on to defeat Kaido's strongest commander, King. In Elbaf, Zoro will definitely show even more impressive feats, such as developing his Conqueror's Haki to new heights.
