Currently, the Monster Trio can challenge the foremost fighters in One Piece, but there are still some groups that are superior to them in terms of strength. With that in mind, here are all the trios in One Piece that are stronger than the Monster Trio.

Blackbeard, Jesus Burgess, Shiryu
Affiliation: Blackbeard Pirates
The trio of Blackbeard, Burgess, and Shiryu represent the topmost fighters within the Blackbeard Pirates. Burgess is the Yonko's right-hand man, while Shiryu is the Titanic Captain of the first ship. Both Burgess and Shiryu are armed with dangerous abilities that make them a nightmare to face.
While his two underlings are certainly powerful, they cannot compare to the might of Blackbeard. The Yonko has not one but two Devil Fruits in his locker, with which he can lay waste to entire countries. The trio of the Blackbeard Pirates is currently superior to the Monster Trio, but the latter will definitely supplant them towards the end of the series.
Kizaru, Fujitora, Ryokugyu

The Admirals are the most powerful weapons of the Marines. Throughout the organization's history, only the best fighters have served in the position. Presently, Kizaru, Fujitora, and Ryokugyu occupy the positions. Kizaru is the oldest Admiral and was introduced in the series before the timeskip. Fujitora and Ryokugyu became Admirals only after being accepted via the World Government's Military Draft.
All Admirals possess extremely overpowered Devil Fruits. They also have immense control over Haki, which gives them an edge in fights. While Luffy is stronger than an Admiral, Zoro and Sanji aren't. Therefore, the Monster Trio would lose the fight against Kizaru, Fujitora, and Ryokugyu.
Shanks, Benn Beckman, Lucky Roux
Affiliation: Red Hair Pirates
For many, the Red Hair Pirates are the strongest crew in One Piece. Led by Shanks, the crew has dominated the waters of the New World for years. It is said that the Red Hair Pirates have the best overall balance out of all the pirate crews, meaning they are well-balanced.
Shanks is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, characters in One Piece. He is an elite swordsman who clashed with Mihawk in the past. Shanks' biggest strength is his Haki. The Yonko can use all three types of Haki along with their advanced versions, making him one of the few characters to do so. Benn Beckman is also an elite fighter, who is said to be not too far from Shanks' level. Lucky Roux is another impressive fighter who can challenge the top combatants from any other crew.
Whitebeard, Marco, Oden
Affiliation: Whitebeard Pirates
The Whitebeard Pirates have been severely underrated because of their showing in the Marineford Arc. The crew went to the Marine Headquarters to free Portgas D. Ace from the clutches of the World Government. However, it is important to remember that the Whitebeard Pirates were at a significant disadvantage.
The trio of Whitebeard, Marco, and Oden is one of the greatest in the history of One Piece. Whitebeard had the power to destroy the world, and on top of that, he had insanely powerful Haki. Marco could fight as well as heal his teammates with the blue flames. Finally, Oden had the strength to go toe-to-toe with Kaido (although he was not in his prime). There's no doubt that this trio from the Whitebeard Pirates could wipe out the Monster Trio.
Garp, Sengoku, Tsuru
Affiliation: Marines And World Government
The Marines have had many noteworthy individuals serve in the organization, but none of them come close to the legendary trio of Monkey D. Garp, Sengoku, and Tsuru. They joined the Marines around the same time and rose through the ranks rapidly. Garp ended up becoming the Hero of the Marines by fighting legendary pirates like Roger, Whitebeard, Kaido, Rocks, etc.
Sengoku was quite close to Garp in terms of strength, but chose to go down the diplomatic route instead. He became an Admiral and finally the Fleet Admiral of the Marines. Tsuru's full strength remains a mystery, but considering how Doflamingo avoided her, it implies that she was not a weakling. All three of them in their prime would have no problems decimating the Monster Trio.
Roger, Rayleigh, Gaban
Affiliation: Roger Pirates
This is arguably the most obvious entry in the post. Gol D. Roger, Silvers Rayleigh, and Scopper Gaban were the three best fighters within the Roger Pirates. Together, the trio managed to overcome all kinds of odds and cement their legacy. Out of the three, it was Gol D. Roger whose fame spread the most. People around the world feared Roger as the Pirate King, and, naturally, he received a bounty of 5,564,800,000 berries.
Rayleigh and Gaban were not that far off from their captain. Both were outstanding fighters, who played a key role in making Roger the King of the Pirates. The trio could use all kinds of Haki, making them part of a special list. Currently, they are ahead of the Monster Trio.
